"theoretically dating"the things people come up with to defend male leads😭😭
but was he dating someone when he met Zhou Wan again though?
Are you saying that just because he "dated" a girl for a few days after Zhou Wan left him, the following 10 years of yearning for Zhou Wan don't count? It was also mentioned that if he knew she was still in the city, he would have immediately come back to search for her

Then by that logic, he theoretically dated Zhouwan too since he didn't get intimate with her as well
He was 18, drunk and freshly heartbroken, I think under these conditions it wasn't intentional

in my opinion, that scene didn't need to be there at all. it was totally unnecessary.
good point, it didn't have any real purpose

The whole time, Lu Zhong Yue was behind what happened to Zhou Wan's father's factory just so he could get the…
I did not expect that honestly, though it didn't surprise me. He literally doesn't care about anyone and anything except his reputation

well no, dating does not equal to getting intimate. It's intentionally being with another person, spending time together, loving each other, being there for each other. It's with purpose from both sides basically.
I do have to point out that what they had for many episodes felt more like a situationship, so yes, in my opinion they only started intentionally dating in episode 20 (?), though it didn't last long

son wtf is theoretically dating😭
Okay, I can agree with that, the girl indeed didn't deserve that

Maybe my phrasing was off, to be clear - I do not wanna justify a man using another woman for selfish gains. But to me it seems like this isn't exactly the case, he didn't actually date her in any way, he didn't show it off to Zhou Wan and generally kept his distance from the girl, then "broke up" almost immediately.
So what I was trying to point out is that he's not a ruined man or a cheater like some comments are making it out to be

I mean correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he call it off a few days later? Unless I misunderstood the timing, but it seemed like he said "yes" while he was drunk, then just let the girl wander around for a bit, but genuinely didn't do anything with her? Can that be called dating?
I do agree that he should have cleared it up sooner and not have agreed in the first place, but I think some people are reading too much into it, as if he cheated

Bruuuh what are these comments about Lu Xixiao dating another girl. So what? He clearly didn't even DATE date her, it was more like theoretically dating, he wasn't actually interested in her and it should have been very obvious from his behaviour.

I wonder if Lu Xixiao will follow through (or at least attempt to do so) with his plan to ruin her if they crossed paths again. It would probably be him trying to win her over, make her believe that he forgave her and then leave her. Just my thoughts though, so please don't spoil me if you know what's gonna happen (or put a spoiler tag)

Title Never-Ending Summer Spoiler
I saw some clips in which lu xixiao was taking tranquilizers and he also had panic attacks . But i want to know…
Good points. I don't think it's as white and black as many people think. Zhou Wan had to leave the person who showed the most care and love for her after her grandma died, all because she wished well for him and didn't wanna burden him. I don't agree with her decision not to talk to him about it, but I understand. Let's not forget she was still an 18 year old back then as well. I do wonder how this decision has affected her over those years though, maybe we'll see in the upcoming episodes. As for Lu Xixiao, I can also understand his side, since after she left him in that field he was restless and didn't give up until she finally picked up her phone. But I guess it just broke him. Even if they had such a beautiful bond and truly loved each other, it still wasn't strong enough for either of them to hold on to each other no matter what. Regarding Lu Xixiao, I also just remembered that his family told him that Zhou Wan left the city, because the aunt suspected he'd immediately come back to look for her. So I think it's not fair to put all the blame on either one of them. Both had lived through a hard time and both suffered emotionally because of the breakup. Let's look forward to the next episodes though, as we know that reunions bring stronger feelings and once all misunderstandings are cleared, that's were the true love starts.

Honestly what the grandpa said is understandable but him manipulating her and saying this sort of thing wouldn’t…
Yuuup, I agree. If not for Zhou Wan, he would have continued to be as rebellious as he could, but she actually brought out his gentle, caring and responsible side. And yet it still wasn't enough for them...

Wow. This episode hit me like a truck. It was brutal and heartbreaking to see how devastated Lu Xixiao was, especially the dancing scene?? 💔
But I am so ready for the adult arc and I'm curious how the story will continue from now on

i really like the discussion space here. everyone feels free to share their opinions whether good or bad about…
100% agree, I wish all dramas here could be discussed freely without fan wars and opinion-pushing

This whole case is a mess, i wish she was alive to share with us who wronged her the most, i feel like it's many…
100% agreed. Korean netizens can indeed be the most cruel and extreme when it comes to their "favorite" celebrity suddenly not being perfect. I find it strange that they're not letting the said actors/singers/etc redeem themselves OR at least letting them survive in other ways.

I don't have the time to watch the drama lately, can someone briefly update me on how's it going? I haven't watched the latest two episodes. Did the plot get messy? Feel free to express your opinion!

I'm not here to say that the acting is bad, but the drama itself is missing something for me. I still plan to finish it though.

I watched this a few months ago, but I still think about the HongKong arc of this cdrama from time to time. Others dropped the drama because of it. But for me it was my favorite part. Yes, it's quite a heavy watch, but the acting, the raw emotions and the camera work portrayed that part of the story so well, it was painful but in a good way, I forgot that I was watching a fictional cdrama, I was invested in it, feeling all the emotions together with the characters. I could understand why they made the choices that they did. That said, for me it's a great drama. But it's not for everyone. So give it a try, see for yourself, you might end up loving it :)
