Umm, maybe because acne IS unattractive? It looks hideous. There is not a single person with acne that wakes up in the morning and says "Thank God I have acne".

The OP claimed that the word “Veteran” implied that the actress was deceased. I claimed that it merely meant that they were old or middle aged. If the title of the article had stated “30 year old veteran” then your example would apply. It doesn’t, so my point still stands. The actress is clearly middle aged, which is why they used the word “Veteran” by itself without mentioning how many years she’s been acting.
