Besides being obsessed with JILU’s love story, I’m kinda obsessed with JY’s story too. If VOS was made longer, maybe GJM could tell a bit of the story from JY’s perspective.

What if the talk about there being a VOS season 2 is because they want to fully unpack the story of MM and DZ, or maybe tell the story behind JY’s obsession with destroying this world. >.<
After watching VOS a few times, I keep thinking about Man and Dizhu’s story. In the legend it’s only known that MM lied to DZ and killed DZ. But after LWY and JL entered the Illusion World of the Star Stone, the truth turned out to be that JY killed the men who were after DZ and tried to blame it on MM. What if what really happened was kinda similar to what LWY and JL went through. JY possessed DZ, tried to hurt MM, but DZ who loved MM ended up hurting herself and eventually died. JY, who couldn’t accept DZ’s death, attacked WZQ and caused the disaster from 1000 years ago to happen. Remember JY’s words when she was the Fox Queen talking to JL/LS: “Nothing can make a person fall deeper into the darkness of their soul than losing their one true love.” (Was JY telling her own story back then, about losing DZ?)
Yeah I succeeded in getting my older sibling to watch it, and my friend said it helped after I gave them spoilers for the story. They said if I hadn’t given spoilers from the start, they probably would’ve had a hard time understanding the plot. 🤣🤣
I was so crazy about VOS that I ended up telling my coworker the whole story of VOS from A to Z, and pushed them to watch the drama. I even brainwashed my older sibling into watching it too 😂

But when I checked again, it seems like Rui’s first kiss was actually with Wang Yu Wen. That’s because the year he filmed Burning Night was earlier than VOS. 😭

Maybe… just maybe, he only wants to say three words: “Because I love you.” But LWY can’t let him finish. She knows that if she hears one more sentence, one more convincing whisper from him, her resolve will shatter and she’ll abandon everything she’s planned. So she cuts him off right there, before her heart betrays her.
He was hilarious. I really loved the arrogant CEO version of Ji Ling in that episode. The way he talked and delivered…
uyeah. And in the next episode, LS keeps trying to break LWY’s spirit every time LWY tries to confirm whether he’s really JL or not. LS’s eyes also look sad when LWY feels disappointed. And if you pay attention again, there are moments when LWY wears the flower LS gave her in her hair, and for a second you can see JL’s reaction on LS’s face—that silly, love-filled reaction of his. >.<
Rewatching VOS, this time I watched with full attention, observing how TJR’s eye expressions changed when portraying LS and also the wooden puppet version of JL. TJR is truly great at bringing his roles to life.
I just rewatched VOS (again) and I realized that LS/JL was actually very jealous of himself in ep 9. Every time LWY said JL’s name softly and full of feeling, LS got jealous and decided he didn’t want to make the wooden JL puppet to replace him during the journey anymore. It seems he wants to have LWY all to himself. His obsession with LWY makes my heart badump.. >.<
