I rewatched the show recently, and it honestly hurt to see how happy, youthful, and full of life Junseo looked…
True. I also hope that he will finally be appreciated by his current members.
It honestly started back in Whiplash, when Junseo was only given the small rap part, even tho he isn't a rapper. His unique voice was never really appreciated - except in Main Dish. Same thing happened again in Chains, where he wasn’t picked at all and ended up leaving in the end with Kangmin. None of the current member of ALD1 ever really supported or voted for him back then, they were like a clique leaving Junseo out and that still worries me. Now that he’s in a group with many of the same people, I just hope things will be different this time. I just really hope that this time, he gets the chance to shine and won’t be overlooked or mistreated again. He truly deserves to be recognized for his talent.

Finally finished the show today. The favoritism on the show was honestly outrageous. Certain contestants were clearly pushed as favorites - given endless screen time, more lines, and portrayed sympathetically, even as victims - while others, who were just as talented and genuinely good people, were sidelined or edited down. What makes it worse is that Mnet seemed determined to paint problematic individuals in a positive light, while contestants with clean records and real talent were unfairly diminished, their image distorted to distract from the real problems. It’s not just biased editing; it’s manipulative and deeply problematic.

Now that the eight members have debuted, I’m genuinely happy for each of them. No matter who made it, everyone worked so hard over these four months. Among the final 16 contestants, every single one was incredibly talented, and honestly, I would’ve wished for all of them to win.

That’s why I really hope the favoritism we saw during the show won’t carry over into the group after debut. Like Jaejoong said, once they’ve debuted, the rankings don’t matter anymore. I truly hope all the members are treated equally - that no one gets pushed aside or overexposed. I want to see them shine together as a team, with equal parts and opportunities. Favoritism now would only harm the group’s harmony and spirit, and that would be a real tragedy after all their effort.

I’ve already seen some concerning behavior online - for example, some fans of Sangwon complaining because he wasn’t sitting in the middle during a livestream. That was honestly disheartening to see. It shouldn’t matter whether he ranked first or not. Every fan of each member worked equally hard to make their favorite debut on this show. All of them worked equally hard. Now he’s part of the group like everyone else, and they’re one team. It's not a one-man show. Seeing these kinds of comments only fuels unnecessary division and makes Sangwon look very bad. I really hope this stops moving forward, because from now on, they should be seen and supported as one unit - not as individual ranks.

Also, as a side note - I originally started watching the show because I noticed Junseo in it, and to be honest, even though I haven’t really followed him closely for two years, it was heartbreaking to see how much he seemed to struggle. Watching him get treated unfairly, and clearly falling apart in real time was extremely painful. He’s gained so much weight, and I think that’s just a reflection of all the stress he’s been under. Right now, he looks completely drained - you can really see the exhaustion and sadness in his face. Even in his eyes, there’s a kind of heaviness that shows through, even when he’s smiling. I sincerely hope he can regain his health. I just want to see him doing well and feeling healthy again.

And I also hope the boys get proper rest. They’ve been working non-stop since day one, and the whole survival process was truly so stressful, intense and demanding. They deserve at least a week of real downtime - time to breathe, recover, and recharge after everything they’ve gone through.

His acting was absolutely outstanding — I truly hope we get to see him in more films soon.

Junseo might not be slim and “girly looking” anymore, but he still does justice to every girl group dance…
His frame is so much bigger than the others. I do wonder if the company will put him on a diet.

Maybe he’ll just lose the weight naturally. I heard he put it on during and after filming his drama — maybe it was just stress.

Oh man, I missed the whole show and didn’t even realize Junseo was there! I almost didn’t recognize him because he gained so much weight and got rid of his piercings and accessories.
