Good question. I am not a fan of JJY's previous works. Just a pretty face. This one has interesting support cast though. I am going to wait a bit for more episodes and review.

I kinda like the ending, its more poignant. One cannot really just brush off a lifetime of too much spilled blood. If they have lived, they would have been guilt ridden. Plus i dont think they will ever stop fighting for the world even when they are badly injured. So it better to be reunited with their crew after death
