Don’t see why people didn’t like this??? I loved it. Loved the leads, most dramas the leads would break up because fear of danger would lead to another but im glad they didn’t. I liked how an investigation would happen one after another, even when you could guess who the culprit is, it was still enjoyable to watch. For whoever is stopping in the middle because of this reason (being able to see through the investigation) you should seriously watch to the end, it’s definitely a great plot twist and made it all worth while

Through the beginning we learn yan li is the adopted son of emperor and yan li earned his title through his father who protected the emperor with his life. In the end we learn the current emperor is an imposter. the empress dowager gave birth to twins, sons and one of the became the emperor while one of them was sent away in secret due to rules. Yan li biological father turned out to be the twin that was sent away. When yan li father saved the emperors life, it was a guise and here was where he killed them emperor and took his place. the whole time we’ve been seeing yan li’ father (an imposter)

The age difference is so messed up she is 19 in this and that’s by Korean tradition standards so shes at least 17-18 in this and they used an actor who looks wayyy older and is extremely old in this 😭 they could have at least made her a bit older or used a ML who looks younger so it wouldn’t look so weird … he even calls her a kid and they know shes a minor yet?? No one has a problem with the age?😭 beside this I love this so much, double points for the ost !
