I loved most how there were no disputes between suige and chengyang. It’s so refreshing and nice to see brothers who don’t fight each other for the throne. Chengyang was so sweet n innocent always listening to his mother for everything but I was so proud how he was never manipulated by her and even assorted his authority as emperor against her 👏 he would’ve been a great emperor I was hoping he would stay

The villains are the zhaung family and murong family and xia jingshi. ML side quite a few ppl die because of them and FL side

I was actually happy he didn’t take advantage of her memory. He was honest with her, he told her she shot him, even though she couldn’t remember she knew why he was torturing her. She even paid him back for her suffering so they ended their grudges fair and square. I liked that especially how they were fair with each other. At first they both have terrible images of each other and they are only cooperating because they need each other but then they realize that they aren’t who they thought they were so this built the structure that started the hate to love relationship

Love triangle? Between xia jinshi and fu xiyao? It’s more of a one sided love not really a love triangle

I was able to finish this but not the prisoner of beauty if that answers your question . I think it was pretty good and It’s not angsty it just has a lot of betrayal and is very plot twisting.

Xia jingshi went crazy in the end. Even if he took up the throne he didn’t seem in the right mind to have a sane mind again. He’s already killed too many innocent people there was no going back for him, in the future he would’ve still killed many people so satisfy his obsessions. ML and FL had every right to interfere after everything xia jingshi has done especially stabbing xiyang , if I was ML I wouldn’t have let that go either??? He deserved to die. Plus xia jingshi was still poisoned and unless he could’ve found a cure in time, his antidotes he saved up wouldn’t have lasted him very long a few years at most maybe less for how much his body suffers from only taking half, and then all the effort to get the throne would’ve been a waste

These episodes go by so quickly we are already nearing the end i cant bear to have to say goodbye 😩

Story was absolutely perfect! It’s fast paced, nothing is dragged at all. They get to the point very quickly of every problem! The ending couldnt have been more perfect. It’s best the second life had ended because too may things were done messy. But in the third life everything was clean and smooth, no one had to go through any terrible suffering and we got a happy ending!

Feng Xi Yang Couldn’t change Xia Jing Shi but she could change Xia Jing Yan. Though he wasn’t a good person, he treated her well to an extent i couldnt bear to see him die 😭😭

This was honestly so good but the FL is a bit annoying by how dumb she is. She wants to find out the truth but she had no brains for it. Everytime she did something, she didn’t have a plan and did it openly which always caused trouble and had to be saved every time by ML. She never thought about cameras or disguising herself or anything. She would be dead a million times without him

Me being able to sit through 52 episodes of this means it was good enough to keep me engaged. The only thing is it is outdated since it’s been almost a decade but it’s still worth watching
