Same here. I started watching without much expectation but find myself getting hooked. I think the rating is not as high as expected because of the story change according to novel & anime fans, which I honestly don't think they should be compared at all, but to each of his own.

I think you can try continue watching. I find the front part a little slow and I think I started to really get engaged from Episode 9 or 10 onwards. I just finished Episode 15 and I find myself getting into the storyline. The female lead is soooooo pretty! I like Xiao Zhan personally as well so his appearance from Epi 11 onwards naturally attracted me.
