I hated the ending for the very same reason. His actions contradicted his character. He went from someone who stood for the truth no matter what to whatever that was. Looking back, he was mad when Mr Tao lied during the Exam conspiracy only for him to do the same. The hypocrisy of it all pissed me off. The Empress basically got away Scott free. She died with her secret, and Gu Jingzhang was painted as a Villain. Disappointing ending.

No longer watching this sh*t because of what they did to Zhang Zhe Han. I really wanted to watch it because of him and Yibo. Now, ANDIZI, ❌❌

I lost brain cells watching this. The acting is questionable as well. You will find the characters breaking into a smile in a serious situation when they should be terrified for their lives. If this was real life, the MLs would have died eons ago.

I couldn't have said it better. I don't even get how others gave this show a high rating. The characters were stupid. The fluff between the MLs became so annoying and bland. The music😩, it was like some 90s soupie. Jane honestly left the evidence for them and they did nothing with it until the very end. The only reason why I even gave a 2 Star rating was because of the potential the story had if the characters were not portrayed as plain idiots. 😩

I also did not see this whole thing as this MAJOR SECRET they made it out to be. It's not like she hid the fact that she changed her appearance because she was some murderer or something. They dragged the whole thing for no reason. I don't think I would have sat through 60 episodes for this. The whole premise is rather vain and superficial.
