My experiences from fangirling/fanboying is support everything that your idol does. You can’t afford any fan wars while your actor is currently just a rising actor. You need viewers/audiences to all your actor’s dramas (including viewers from haters) in order to gain more popularity to your idol. So, fan wars, boycotting or hating will only do harm to your own idols especially yu ning currently doesn’t have any 1st billing drama at all.
