from the costumes and coloring i thought it was serious and angst but it's fully hitting me that it's a comedy. looks delightful in the best way ππ
right?! i wonder if china would allow this type of plot considering their restrictions against like reincarnation despite the fact that almost all the xianxia's i've seen have some variation of loop hole that allows it to some degree lol
I am rewatching parts of TTEOTM. Bailu's acting is so good. She expressed LSS conflicted emotions.
Jiang Jun? i couldn't with the plot of LiS and the allergy to tears made no sense to me lmao but her chemistry with LYX was spicy!
Sangjiu being so sweet and then devilizing is what edges her past Shiyi for me (that line in the bamboo forest where she's talking about the story her dad to her and she says 'he didn't regret it so he became immortal but i can't. i regret it so much that i want to kill myself"--chills.. it was so good shiyi i think felt the most like real idk she nailed the micro expressions

yes! wishing her character didn't get cuts due to the new regulations but thought she did great i think ppl underrate her bc LYX is a phenom and ppl go in thinking TTEOTM is a "romance romance" if that makes sense... like they want her to go Bella Swan and fall for the Edward and never look back and they get annoyed that she doesn't love him enough... like first off, girl isn't obligated to love him at all or even bc he loves her, second the mission has always come first, third ppl think she's just sacrificing him to save her family but she's also sacrificing herself when we finally get a show when "love doesn't conquer all" and a protag has to actually make a choice between love and duty (also their relationship is actually bananas too lol)--she chooses duty and ppl get mad lol. also ppl can hate the misunderstanding trope all they want (i certainly do and hate porridgegate) but LSS's decisions make sense to me bc at that point she is running out of time and think's he's the devil incarnate literally, the fate of the world is on her hands, and she thinks he's unsalvageable...
Maybe that's why they gave us an open endingTo create an unforgettable unsung hero that will be remembered for…
i think the narrative is stronger with a BE or OP rather than a disney fairytale where all can be resolved with the power of love sometimes you can't change your circumstances or who you are but you can change how you react to those circumstances and how you see things and what you do
So, CCTV praised TTEOTM was trending no 1 yesterday till this morning still no 1 with now over 420M reading, another…
