The Eclipse wouldn't have such success without FirstKhao chemistry, that's for sure. But even if the writting was a bit weak and the ending rushed, it is totally worth the watch.

They are more than good actors. First and Khaotung are also best friends for a long time in real life, which is showing in screen. They are perfectly at ease with each other and know and understand each other better than anyone else. Well, it's a bit different from what's usually done in terms of the perfectly assumed sexual side, the chaotic relationships, the cheating... It's basically Friendzone but BL. Nobody said it was an original concept that was supposed to change anything. But it's definitely a breath of fresh air in today's BL world.

I think you're overthinking it. This isn't supposed to be a philosophical or even political drama. It hasn't been sold as carrying such heavy themes (or you're confusing it with Playboyy, which is coming out next year). It's just a bunch of friends with complicated relationships, nothing more.
