The hard in ur q that the ( happy ending?) phrase DOESNT clarify all of the details u have just mentioned! For me, season 1 was waaay better than season 2!

The recording would NOT get him out of jail!!! Listen to it, it didn't clear his name, it didn't provide solid evidence as what the video recording at the time of the crime provided!! There was a tape which was clearly neglected by the police and the court, showing the prisoner at his work at the time of the murder!!! If this happened in real life, court might roll out the recording( in some cases recordings can be overruled ) while u have a video showing Where he was, this uu can't turn ur eyes away from!!!!! It was his evidence to be a free man!!! Away from emotions and sympathy! This is how real life works! My opinion I think the way the writer put this all together was stupid!!! If u want the story to keep going the way it is, then u shouldn't bring a video tape out! Any investigator would laugh out loud if he sees this!!!!! Plus u can't be selfish in something and good fella in other, the reporter worked till the end to clear his name, she also cleared the detective name from the SA case, helped to clear her boss’s name from murdering the old detective!!! She worked hard till the end!! Releasing the tape would only limit her and who ever is working on the case! She wouldn't be able to go that far!

That was one of the things i dropped watching it! The matter of fact it happened even in season 1! But we were too amazed to pin it🤣! When the trail was on, everybody got mad at the reporter for not revealing the recording thinking that it could have saved his life! But i still cant process how the court rejected a solid evidence as the video tape proofing where Dae-cheol was at the time of the murder! If this didnt help him, nothing would!
Another thing ive noticed about season 2, its predictable, it happened before mostly in all criminal stories, where u have a psycho, who kidnaps and kills girls, dress them in white ( for dramatic thinking where white resembles angel, it strongly shows the bloody colour red which indicates the cruelty against harmless victims) then u have the bad character gets in some kind of challenge with the star detective, get some help from a previous wicked fella who happened to be locked away and waits his turn to get his revenge, he exposes the detective weakness point! Then we have one character puts himself/ herself in the fire ball to know more about the bad person weakness points, and things escalate to the point where he or she gets killed or tortured by the evil! Mostly this character is the love of the the main character and that makes a plot twist which leads things to be more personal for the detective.... ( revenge) but here the chiefs daughter from what I read and from the classification she seems a side character and doesn't meet the standards of a main character ( lover)!! This season is so shaky, missing few elements! Main elements to make it as good as the first season!

Same! I am NOT even excited till Netflix airs the show, there is NO link what so ever with season one, u feel its a new show that isnt even as interesting as season 1! Not to mention in the first season, u felt all emotions, pitty and sorrow for Cheol, anger and frustration from the real killer, a beautiful glimpse of romance, a paused emotion when the chief of the newspaper killed himself, surprised when a second killer was revealed in the last episode (the bad detective ) ! Also the excitement feeling u got while watching the 16 episodes!

I was puzzled seeing a couple of faces who had zero reflect from season 1 coming to season 2! I don't get how they just wipe off a main character but leave a silly one?!

When they said there is season 2 coming up, i was thinking of what could it be this time?! Maybe some serial killer who hunts girls, not interested in sexual ass*lt (SA) at all, but he loves to torture, kill the victoms after he dresses them in white dress, now im watching first episode i have Chandler Bing’s voice in my head ( OH MY GOD)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I better start writing my own series now😨😨😨

I mean why the writer choose a new character to develop a new crush while u have 2 already starting a relation!! Why man?!😂😂

Since it's one-sided crush, maybe it's an indication that his heart is tight up somewhere😅😂 with Lee maybe, and she is gone for a good reason, I mean I don't know maybe 😁

Having a new romance will shak the building of the character! I mean u see detective OH barely notices anything! He is 34 male who never been with a female before, but in one year u have 2 romance stories for him?? That will make us thinking maybe what we have in our minds about him is not right! Im already not quite happy with this change! Not just not having the FL but i mean u look at OH he doesnt smile, during season one, hardly puts a tiny smile on his face! Look at season 2, he is out on the moon smiling here and there!! U just see him smiling and happy like he has never been hurt before( childhood trauma)! things dont add up! Human emotions is there! I mean u cant have a raw detective show with no human emotions, but for the writer he didn't distribute those emotions very well! We saw him quite strict with his lines with Jin, but quietly spreading those emotions with his detective partner!!!

Hehe he I had this thought too🤣! Like she is away doing something while OH WAITS! I mean common sense doesn't work if he just falls in love with another! The first season he was presented as a shy character, barely notices women, when Lee asked him if he usually likes women secretly, he said nope this is the first time, so how come a character THAT hard to fall in love, u see it changing lovers in one year!! Things don't add up!

Yup! People barely know there was a third season! That's what happens when u betray ur audience! I expect this will happen to the good detective too!! Lee Elijah army is here 😅😭👌😂

A Turkish show called Feriha,

Man like what are they doing?? We have been waiting to proceed with their stories for almost a year, and now this?!!!!! How come u start a story between 2 main characters then out of a sudden drop one of them?!!! That happened once in a Turkish series, it got the highest rates because of the chemistry between the man and the woman, they actually made 2 seasons because of this, the third season they decide to kill the girl, people dropped the show , the producers begged the audience to keep watching the show but they were too disappointed, they cancelled the show ( stopped airing)with out finishing it!

Like is it a joke??? Reason number one for having season 2 was the chemistry between Lee and OH!!!!!!!!!!! We wanted MORE of these 2, how come they just drop one of main role characters just like that! If she is not there we will rate ZERO! They need to respect the audience and go with the flow!!! Very disappointing!!!!!!!!!

I cried too!!! But it shows the cruelty in this world!!!! Another show twist 💫 tho it was hard to digest!!!!

@AngelicaM2009! Not because of her job alone! She wanted to handle it, went to the court holding it in her pocket, but she knew nothing good for the defendant will come out of it! They had what it was better! A video showing he was at his job at the time of the murder but it didn't help! His case was sealed! They wanted to sacrifice him!! She was also worried for everyone around her! At the end of the episode she asked OH to thank her for keeping his job! He was puzzled why? She told him one day you will!! But later on she revealed the tape during her article! The tape was more of showing the corruption police department than clearing Cheol’s name!! It was very obvious coz after her article being published! The big bad boys started their clash between each other! With NO formal apology on the execution of Cheol! But this led to that and this led to that so the knot was broken free and Cheol earned his apology!

And for those who are mad at Jin for not revealing the recording during the trial! She had two decisions whether go emotional and reveal it, or go rational!! 2 bitter decisions! If she revealed it, it would NOT help in the trail! But it would destroy her and everyone supporting the trail! She WASNT SELFISH at all! She wanted to reveal it SO bad, she even wanted to handle it to the detectives, but then had a second thought about how that would destroy everyone’s career! At the end of the episode she sat with OH at the bar and asked him to thank her for keeping his job, he was puzzled (what for)? She told him one day you will! Plus the recording itself DID NOT give the killer’s name! In simple words it WASNT a lottery ticket for Dae-Cheol! His case was sealed! The defence had even a better evidence, an actual photage of Dae at his work during the time of the murder! It didn't help! She exposed the recording later on to show the corrupted police system! If you watch the show with a fresh eye, you will see even after revealing the tape, there WASNT a formal apology for Dae! Coz it was related to the bad police guys rather than the defendant himself!!!!
