10/10, it is about how cruel life can be in general for different kind of people, it is about in what ways extreme experiences can impact us, it is about exploatation of common people in modern economy, it is about how destructive is power for the richest, it is not some garish hunger games show, it is a very deep, emotionally authentic and moral drama, one of the best existential story I've ever seen (and read) anyone who liked Parasite should watch this series for sure, or like me intrested in how life looked in antiquity for most of the people, in what conditions human psyche was shaped in + plot twist at the end is absolutely mindblowing, not a netflix show, pure Korean talent of the screenwriter and director..
I have a question to someone whose interested in Wuxia dramas. Can You explain to me how time works in imortals/gods…
Time works exactly like in the mortal world. They just experience time differently due to their different soul/nature. You can not just understand this. Asian fantasy as well as culture in general is more open to mystery and singularity than western one driven by post-roman-catholic rationalism and anthropocentrism. Z tej właśnie przyczyny jest tak innowacyjne i fascynujące! Zauważ również, że dzisiejsze xianxia coraz częściej mają silne "cosmic vibes", a nawet czasem wuxia, jak np. niedawno "The Dance of The Sky Empire". As for why usually there is no change in the mortal world is explained by... sparce resources of course and also due to the fact Chinese fantasy stories take place in mythical, "universal" sphere. The Chinese prefer intuitive thinking in regard to culture, that has no problem with contraries (as explained in YinYang). Logical thinking is narrowing.
