Is zhang san's diary about the crown prince of xiahou dan or xiahou dan himself when he was young? cz clearly xiahou dan has been here for a long time so at first I assumed he transmigrated when he was a kid and been living here ever since. Also the ppl told wanyin that the sos sign has been here for years so how can xiahou dan's son be the one making it. kinda confused with this duality since they used the same actor. sorry for the paragraph

ep 11 went so smoothly for the ml and fl! It was so satisfying to watch everything fall into place according to their wish

just ended ep 9 and xiahou dan does seem sus. Since prince duan isn't the one controlling the story, could it be the ml himself? cz looking back how did he know that the character "yong" which xiahou dan learned as a kid could make your calligraphy better. and why did that kid say where's the heroine of this story??

the fact that it's BASED on arabic and muslim culture is what makes the name problematic. If it was named satan or lucifer, nobody would care thinking it's from christianity. Muslims do take these things seriously so romanticizing somebody they loathe is not okay for them, specially considering this is not korea's culture to use in their dramas however they want.

same feeling. the villains aren't scheming enough in this drama. He Rufei is an incompetent while Xu Jingfu feels like he's one step away from giving up. No desperation or enthusiasm on their part.

Can we take a moment to praise Yan He! He's such a great supportive character. Cares about his wife, is a good general and also holds no past grudges despite him and XJ being rival in the Academy. That's a mature man right there! Wish he came earlier to the story.

I hope they don't make Chu Zhao an innocent hero with a sacrificing end or whatever they do to justify second ml's deeds. Chu Zhao is already a morally grey character and he's also self aware about it. He works for his own purpose despite knowing it's wrong. As he said to yingxiang that he chose this path for himself willingly, he better stay like this til the end. And not act like some good boy which he clearly is not!

I'm having a hard time believing Xiao Jue will treat He Yan this way without calculating or anything considering he found He Rufei's change in demeanour suspicious long ago. Also such a poor explanation from He Yan's part as if she's willingly painting herself the villain. I think the script writer just wanted to drag the misunderstanding bits for few more episodes before the grand revelation. Still unnecessary and disappointing cz the characters been extraordinary and sharp from the beginning yet now they're acting naive in the most crucial moment.
