There was no reason for a 2nd season after the fantastic ending in the first. But I am so glad they went ahead with this. 1st Episode was more of the same, but still really well written and funny. And having everybody together once more is so much chaos. (in the best way). Just a shame it seem like they cut the episodes down to 30 mins instead of 50. But still excited for it all!
No they don't. They remove people if they don't follow the most basic rules, which is very clear in this case, that you can't. So instead you start to complain and make up excuses. Don't like it? Don't watch. Move on.
Fantastic first episode. Relaxing, with some beautiful scenery. Reminds me a bit of Meikenchiku de Chushoku wo. It's nice with these sort of drama now and then.
The whole premise of this sounded so cliché. Only really went into it cause of Fukuhara Haruka. But this is actually a bit of a hidden gem. Its cute, funny and actually has some very clever writing. I am definitely gonna miss Sachi and the girls.
Fall 2021 drama series JAPAN SINKS: People of Hope to stream on Netflix same day as Japan broadcast!Tokyo Broadcasting…
Really hope this is just the start of things to come. It's a really interesting partnership and a really good way to finally bring Jdrama a different audience, and making it easier to watch.
Very much enjoyed it, like everything else Kakegurui. And the musical bit with Morikawa & Takasugi was 10/10. Totally out of the blue but it was fantastic!
However could have done with the the ghost/devil bit at the end. Really doesn't fit into the whole thing. Looking forward to whats next seeing as they pretty much confirmed a new season of sorts is either happening, or planned!
Only watched the first Episode so far, but feels cute already, and loving Ikeda as Komi! (I generally really enjoy her acting though) However the actors feel slightly wrong cause you can clearly see they are way older then high school students. Still looking forward to seeing the rest though!
Edit: Watched EP2, and this is so sweet and relatable.
Been so far behind due to work, but finally slowly catching up.
Have to say the character development for all of the characters, no matter if they are main cast or just support are superb. To be fair, the entire writing so far has been incredible with only a few speedbumps.
I almost dropped it after watching for 30 mins since it feels pretty slow. But damn, am I glad I kept watching till the end. Keiko and Kyoko definitely stands out in their roles. But the entire cast is fantastic.

But you're right. It does seem a bit unnecessary.
