a great show. if only the ending wasn’t so rushed. Those Ming cook episodes were stretched. if they had given…
The ending was definitely rushed, things happened really fast (they retook the palace in minutes with only a few soldiers), and it was quite chaotic, but it was a great show, light and entertaining
The only thing I can't forgive is that they killed my sweet Wei Liang in a painful way while Liu Yan, lady Yulou and the uncle basically didn't suffer. I'm still crying!!
I honestly couldn't be bothered with the second couple. I watched them at first, but by the end I found myself skipping all of their scenes. The main couple though was amazing, their chemistry was off the charts and they felt real. Overall good watch, would rewatch only their scenes though
The only possibility for their release would be the lifting of the ban. However, given the conservative mindset…
I wouldn't be surprised if they censored those kinds of scenes. Even for cdramas there is never really a lot of blood on the wounds, even if they make them out to be life threatening, but for some reason even the slightest hit to the chest leads to spitting blood. What a weird thing really
I'm afraid not. The two series you mentioned were produced before the ban. For high-budget, top-tier productions…
That is very sad. And I don't mean just in the sense that we'll never get to enjoy them as viewers (at least not for the forseable future), but also because the effort and time of countless of people will not be paid off unfortunately. I don't really know the latest news or the details even, but for some of these dramas they had already wrapped filming right? What a waste
I honestly can't believe this is Chinese, not even straight dramas have this level of skinship! Is this a sign that we'll also get the other series in the future (immortality, eternal faith)?
I finally finished it!What a rollercoaster, with some definite highs and some definite lows. The last 1/3 was…
I honestly couldn't believe it when it ended just like that. I don't know if they were planning on having a second season or if it was written like that, but it definetly felt rushed and incomplete. Many things were left underdeveloped while they could have just given us less panoramic shots and also reduce just a little bit the second leads screen time in the second half of the drama.
One thing that just didn't make sense to me (amongst many others tbh) is the romance between JianJian and Ling Xiao. Just when exactly did she accept his confession? I feel like I missed an episode that explains that. Never felt the love on her part, even when he asked repetedly to marry her (definetly too soon for that) she just brushed it off and ignored him like wtf?!? They never talked about it again. How are we supposed to take those scenes? In the last episodes they barely had any screentime together!
I absolutely loved the first part of the drama. The second part was like a melting pot of different storylines and some never reach the finish line unfortunately while others have unrealistic solutions. The last 3/4 episodes were a big disappointment for me
yes it is. Keep in mind that the scene where she died, then the next scene showed modern life her writing a story…
I didn't know there was that kind of censorship for cdrama. I mean, I'm used to chinese BLs never seing the light of day, but this drama felt completely normal...the modern world part didn't really add anything to the story, especially cause we only see it at the very beginning and ending, never in between and also it's not like the character has knowledge of being in a novel (like the legend of tiger and rose for example). It threw me off at the beginning, but now it's all clear that it wasn't supposed to be there at all. Thanks!!
Good drama overall, although I have to agree with some of the comments that said the first part is better. I think the problem is that the dynamic changed too much between the characters from the first part to the second. Not to mention the fact that they conpletely forgot about Bai Xiao Sheng. He really deserved better
sometimes i wish cdramas are just 20 eps . i wish...
Unfortunately I have to agree, for this cdrama in particular, it felt like it was going in slowmotion, just to reach the 45min time slot. I had to watch the last 20+ episodes in x1,25 at least to make it seem normal
Honestly it’s kinda overrated, I don’t really know what to say. In the end, I did enjoy it, but the last episodes…
I agree with most of your objections.. i think the romance developed too late in the story for the FL and that really didn't make it right to me, especially considering how the ML treated her compared to the basically perfect second ML. Also, the flashbacks were really confusing, especially at the beginning. Overall I can say that i liked it, the plot was really entertaining and it kept me asking for more but still I don't think this can compare to my absolute favourite, Love like the Galaxy
Thankfully they wrapped up nicely. The ending was still a bit rushed in my opinion and the solution too simple , considering that the alternative was death. I still think they should have cut on some of the side characters screen time or the fashion show at the beginning (funny as it may be) to make time for seongha to speak to her spirit mother, I would have appreciated that way more to be honest
They cut so much. Dissapointing. Seriously #HeadOverHeelsEp11 jumped the shark. This show has seriously gone off…
They cut so much and at the same didn't cut enough. If the problem was squeezing a 16 episodes drama into 12 episodes, they definetly should have cut some side characters. Most classmates had a lot of screentime without really serving the main plot, like the class president for example
What the hell happened to the writing here?????😱I had to double check, I thought I had missed an episode in-between…
they are definetly skipping scenes. Some scenes (like gyeonu in the forest shown again in the previous episode) are hinted but never further expanded. I don't see how they'll have time the next episode to close all plot holes. Fortunately we won't have to wait long. But still, the first episodes were magnificent and rich of plot lines but all cohesive. This really should have been a 16 episode drama
Ik Sin's lie is the biggest frustration. Her logic is completely incomprehensible to me. She chose the most painful…
Same. At the first sign of struggle she bolted. I know she was traumatized because of her past relationship, but he gave her no reason to do that, all I saw is that he was worried for her because of the car accident (understandable) and it reflected at work, but nothing serious. Her decision was seriously out of the blue, and the reason she gave was plain bs and I think he only found out like a year later. He deserves better
I enjoyed the first season, but this one was pretty boring. There weren't enough friendship scenes, the surgeries…
I completely agree. I felt like most scenes were fillers, just to reach the end of the very long episodes. Some scenes go nowhere, and I would have rather had more scenes with the last couples that got together. We never saw seok hyeong's mother meet minha, which would have been hilarious for example. If there really is a season 3 I hope they keep the episodes to the same length of season 1, during this season I found nyself skipping a lot of scenes, which never happend with season 1. Nevertheless, it is still a good drama, very well shot and funny at times
I don't undestand, why is cate blanchett playing ddakji in america? Do people know what kind of game it is over there? I'm italian and if it wasn't for kdramas or variety shows i wouldn't know what it is. Wouldn't they choose the game depending on the location? Besides, cate blanchett felt out of place, but nothing like the VIPs, who were so cringy I could barely watch their scenes, not that I would have missed anything important really
