Meng: "You're eloping and you're only bringing yourself? You should at least bring a couple of valuable items."
King: "I did. I brought you."
How is the score so low? This series is pure gold! Just don't expect historical accuracy or too much romance and by no means take it serious. It is perfect to take a fun break from tragic Dramas. I absolutely adore this!
I would rather call this "The story of accusation". Absolutely stunning plot and acting, but so much human realism, that I almost choked on it. It is not your sweet romantic story. It is more like struggling and growing up together in times of need and, well, accusation. Still contains some vey sweet scenes, I especially liked their wedding and the final scene in the new temple.^^ The character growth in their familiy is the most satisfying thing I have ever seen.
Awesome storytelling. It is actually a shame to marathon this. I loved thinking about the storys afterwards almost as much as watching it. Definitely recommended.
I did mean, watch in leisure time BEFORE it's needed, I didn't catch that line could have dual meaning, I'll get…
Yap, better safe than sorry. People love twisting words and I have heard some really dumb first aid stories. for example, someone, who first read an online doc article on what to do, when an actual car accident had happened ><
Thank you for your article, I am glad someone finally tackled this topic.
Just one comment from me as a first aid trainer: "Before doing CPR on anyone, please, spend some time on YouTube and watch videos on how to do it.[...]Please do NOT attempt CPR on an infant/baby if you aren’t sure how to do it."
...is a very risky thing to write. First off, they may misunderstand and really watch a video first when there is an emergency. You can watch the video in your leisure time. Call 911 and ask for advice. The same goes for CPR on babies. Waiting for the ambulance is fatal.
Half of my job consists of convincing people to help others despite their fear of doing something wrong. Especially in my country they are afraid of getting sued if they do something wrong, so they don't help at all. First aid guidelines are a bit different in every country, so I will stop here and hope as many people as possible read your article and understand.
Thanks for the article. For me this drama is definitely a must watch. It is full of friendship, mystery and suspense with just the right amount of sugar sweet love. Most definitely recommended.^^
Every single episode is so suspence packed and totally worth the watch, I really hate that it's ending so soon and at the same time I am very glad they didn't stretch it unnecessarily T_T
This second half of the last episode had an incredibly high resemblance to some story I would have written when I was 13 and needed unnecessary drama to every love story. Now my teenage self can finally rest in peace. edit: now that I think about it, it's the same recipe as bride of the century
This may be a very German comment, but I have finished the first episode and there was not one proper bread in his bakery? Should I keep watching this or are we only gonna see pastries?
Joking. I love Lee Se Youngs hair btw. She totally rocks this style.
Love your article. This reminds me so much of myself. I stumbled from Animeland into Dramaland by accident when 2007 Hana Kimi was still new. And from there it was a crazy ride. Oguri Shun brought me to Hana Yori Dango. Horikita Maki brought me to Kurosagi with Yamapi(never really got over him-see profile pic)which brought me to Nobuta with Kame and so on and so on... There were times when I watched Yamapi's music videos, life shows and bts's for hours to recharge for the next school exam. It was much much later that I tried korean stuff. And I had an excel list too until I found MDL in 2012. And I am so grateful to MDL. Research and keeping track became so much easier.
8 years later my completed list contains 270 Japanese shows alone. That is how charming they were and still are. They even made me go to Japan for three months and have the best time of my life. I decided on my current job, which I love, because of the hardships I had with subtitles. To outsiders it may seem like I wasted my life away watching a girl dress up as a guy in a crazy sports school, but it had a huge positive impact on my life.

Their friendship was the best thing I had seen in a long time*sob*
