I dont understand all the pity for the King (LDG). So he had a rough childhood and daddy didn't love him as much as he loved the younger son. But I think Yi Yoong is a negative person, one of those people who will always be miserable no matter what. He had a lovely faithful wife, adorable kids (which we just saw in ep 18 lol they must have been hiding from their crazy dad) a devoted concubine who would die for him and Oh yes he is THE KING what more does he want for crying out loud!!!
Side note: I really liked the way they depicted Chae Kyung's parents relationship so sweet, respectful and loving. Love both actors too.
To think I almost gave this a miss because I am not a fan of this genre!!
I thought long and hard before giving this a 10 ( I don't do half points but I couldn't bring myself to give it a 9) the last 10's I gave were to Signal and Six Flying Dragons.
The way they ended it in a clever way that makes sense without the usual plot holes made this very satisfying.
I'm not enjoying this as much as I did in early episodes. I hate that they have made the lead female a clumsy…
I think we are at odds on this point. Her character is written so my earlier comment stands. And I am well aware of plot devices used in Kdramas that doesnt mean they cannot be used to good effect in this instance (in my opinion) they are not.

@elvirad and @ClaudiaKdramaFan - I didn't say in my post that she has suddenly become weak. I'm saying the constant plot devices for her to be rescued are getting tiresome. Whether its because she has sprained her ankle, its raining and she doesn't have an umbrella, she gets in trouble at work etc I do not like the way they have written her character. I like the actress but the more they put the character into these ridiculous situations the less I like the drama. At the beginning when she found out her best friend and her boyfriend were cheating I like the way she handled the situation by calmly leaving without throwing a fit. I wish they had kept her like that!
I'm not enjoying this as much as I did in early episodes. I hate that they have made the lead female a clumsy useless idiot who has to be rescued all the time. UGH!!
i do get why people hate dal hee but at the same time I kind of sympathize with her because it's not like…
I disagree. Two wrongs do not make a right. Just because Sera is a spoilt nasty person does not mean Dal Hee should behave in the same way. I have only seen 4 eps and the way DH treats her step father/sister/boyfriend shows you what a horrible person she is. There is no redemption for her.
Bravo! This is how its done.
