It's definitely a happy ending. Because if it didn't I wouldn't have watched it. In fact, I finished the show yesterday and I literally have the OST ringing in my ears. The chemistry is beautiful, the plot is amazing. I'm still having hangover of this show. If this convinces you, you need to give this show a shot.
