I think you are right. I mean Joe is a stuntman. So he is definitely physically stronger than Ming. But Joe gets so soft with him everytime Ming tries to physically hurt him.

In ep 5 Ming talked with an old man remember? The man said Joe didn't die nor he is alive. I think that comment gave Ming a little hope that Joe is alive somewhere still.
