I couldn’t finish the 1st episode, should I give it another chance?
I would say so, it only really got me interested i think around ep 3-5. I'd suggest maybe waiting until the drama has finished airing so that you can use the fast forward for some scenes lol. I'm on ep 16 and so far it's not super gripping but there are some good moments littered in... like ep 15-16 was pretty enjoyable and I'm excited for the next ep! i would say give it another go if you like this genre bcos most of the characters (the OTP and chu chu especially ) are likeable and the plot is still developing and things are still being revealed :) i think it has potential to get better (hopefully)...
I'm sorry but after all humiliation he has done to her, I don't wanna see Lord Bo having any happiness with MZX.…
ugh i completely agree. ep 15 made me so mad. i don't care if he has his reasons for forcing himself on her. it was not okay. i don't get why these sort of scenes are being accepted because it's the ML doing them because he 'has his reasons'. i don't think he was actually going to r*pe her, he was just trying to scare her, but he still forced himself on her and humiliated her which is NOT OKAY.
I just want the sisters to mend their relationship. Is that too much to ask? In Jae might seem like a bitch at…
Love this ^^ Just imagine: The sisters reconcile... both the FL and the anti-heroine coming together, becoming badass successful women who support each other. I like WIJ so far, she might seem like a 'bitch' but people are flawed and make selfish decisions (and God she was so young when she made that choice which ended up shaping her whole life) ... there are a lot of people in the world who would have made the same ones. Let's hope SDM protecting WIJ was a sign of things to come.
I must be the only person on team HJP who thinks Grandma was right to tell him not to tell SDM. If he told SDM…
I like your take and I share your sentiments. I'm glad HJP didn't end up being in typical SL territory and end up doing something uncharacteristic or 'bad' for the sake of a plot device. luckily SDM seems quite mature so hopefully the next few eps everyone does some serious apologising and redeem themselves for the lying lol. I'm hoping HJP stays out of the love triangle drama as much as possible and that the main couple can start to build anew and the show can focus more on the goddamn START-UP plot lol. leaving HJP's reputation intact <3 lol
Overall I thought this drama had so much potential in the first few eps for showing people following their dreams. For the first few eps I tried to root for NDS and actually thought he was quite relatable and dorky (knowing HJP was the SL and wanting to enjoy the drama for what it was) but soon HJP was stealing my heart (I'm a fan of both KSH & NJH ). I do like what they were trying to do with NDS being a less typical lead but since then I'm sadly not buying it.
By ep 7 I was praying the writing would focus more on the characters' journeys to developing their companies and hoped to see WIJ develop a bit etc (instead of all the love triangle stuff because it was making me dislike NDS (+ root for HJP when I knew it was fruitless) and think SDM deserved better than all of this. After ep 9 I don't see the writers pairing SDM & HJP so I hope there is just more of a focus on the actual Sandbox plot and not too much angst in ep 10 (from the preview I think it's inevitable tho).
Atm I'm hoping : - NDS becomes more mature + proves himself without thinking life owes him something cos he seems talented + likeable (even if he's not your cup of tea) - SDM becomes successful cos I've genuinely been rooting for her this whole time and I just want her to find love, success & happiness - HJP either ends up happy whether it be with: someone else (unlikely)... ends up with SDM (unlikely) or they somehow manage to do his complex & loveable character justice in a satisfying way (unlikely but I'm holding out hope) - WIJ gets some spotlight + development earlier than ep 16 wrap up (eeeh? hopefully) - Grandma is happy + everyone gets to be happy together
(sorry this was so long lol I just have a lot of feels ps: I want the show to do well as I'm a fan of the main cast + I am mostly enjoying it)
I have begun watching bloody romance and it was great. The ambiance and the ost were amaeing but I dropped it…
I will def try Chief Kim then ? Yeah I agree with you about the plot of Before We Got Married. I might pick Bloody Romance up again soon as well cos I'm feeling like some angst lol
I have only watched some of the dramas on your list and I have either dropped or not completed all of them
- When We Were Young has main leads who bicker a bit and start off on the wrong foot (I've just watched too many youth dramas so I wasn't in the mood for it at the time lol otherwise I think I would have completed this one by now and loved it!) So I def recommend that one - Bloody Romance I put on hold, but the main couple are great and I love the angsty OST so I'd give that a go if I were you (only if you like dark/angst/sad plots/more angst... not just romance angst - it's pretty heavy) - I tried Novoland: The Castle in the Sky and personally couldn't get into it, but if you don't go in with high expectations and you have a soft spot for fantasy I'm sure you will like it - I don't really recommend 'Before We Get Married' unless you just focus on the leads chemistry + hot kissing scenes (it's WOW) but plot-wise I would look elsewhere first -I've heard that Chief Kim is great if you like bromance and non-romance dramas :) and My Huckleberry Friends seems to be popular and well-loved if you like youth dramas
I keep putting this drama on hold, I just can't seem to get attached to the plot and romance :(
If you keep going it's well worth it! (from ep 15 it really picks up and that's where i got invested - i struggled to get through the first 4 eps especially but from then on it was good). The romance builds slowly but ended up being the highlight of this drama for me. The secondary romance is also great and keeps the momentum going at parts. If you are even the slightest bit intrigued by the storyline i encourage you to keep going and skip through any bits you find draggy :) i'm glad i did because i ended up adoring this drama!
Can't wait until s2!!
