My loyal soul shall live and die with you.

What a masterpiece. I love everything about this. Like, EVERYTHING! (Except Situ Ling — I hate you so much, I hope you go bald.)

The storyline was neatly written, and the purpose behind every action and curse made perfect sense. I love the execution of the fight scenes, and of course, not to mention the HOT kissing scenes ( ๑‾̀◡‾́)✨

I also love that both the ML and FL are strong. It’s rare to see a storyline where they do things together and not individually, as that reflects their love for each other even more. No sacrifices — just the two of them saving the world together. Ugh, that’s so powerful huhu (˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ )づ♡

I highly recommend this drama and have been wishing for more episodes (with more of the lovey-dovey moments from my parents, MingZai), but I guess that would only drag the story. Still, I’m satisfied with the number of episodes.

Praying for another main role project for Lu Yu Xiao and Hou Ming Hao! Also, their OSTs are so good — too bad they didn’t have a duet.

MINGZAI, I LOVE YOU FOREVER!!! ♡〜٩( ˃▿˂ )۶〜♡

Pure Love. Too Pure.

This was a pretty good coming-of-age drama and everything felt kind of relatable (ntm on Zhang Ling He's face card, I haven't experienced that yet). Here are a few points I would love to point out:

1. Jiang Qiao Xi's realistic character. I've read comments about being mad at him, and I think it shouldn't be that deep. He can be annoying due to his sudden decisions, but he didn't hurt the female lead just because he wanted to. He had his downs, but he really made up for it. His reasons were so easy to understand (though I won't justify it wholeheartedly), as he didn't get the love he deserved from his family, but his development made him love him even more.

2. This drama really made me nostalgic. I love how I can relate to this, as my childhood was pretty much the same—especially neighbors being close to us, some even our relatives. Their neighborhood was so healthy and I love them so much 😭

3. Lin Ying Tao's love was honestly not that heroic for me, as what others have mentioned. If I was in her position and saw that my love—or even my friend—had been in a bad situation for like, all his life? I would do the same. It honestly wasn't as severe as I've read from the reviews. Or maybe I had just watched dramas where the FL sacrificed more than what the FL did in this drama???

Overall, I love this so much. The soundtracks were literally perfect—especially that one where a child was singing. It really gave off the feeling of youth and having childhood friends you can rely on. I LOVE IT SO MUCH! 3rd drama for this couple please 🙏🏻

Youth is bright and warm. Just like this drama.

Ok, I might be a bit biased about this one because Choi Woong is my ideal man so I love this drama so much (hence the perfect 10 ratings). Anyway...

Ah, yes. My mind and soul left after this drama ended. All there's left was EMOTIONS. My heart feels so warm and I feel it melting every episode. It's SO good! This is a masterpiece! After 2 episodes, I knew this will be one of my favorites.

The four characters gave us such refreshing personalities and they all shared such great lessons that will surely help us. The amount of friendship, family, and love are all equally shown. It may have seem to focus on their (the main leads) relationship but there's really MORE to it.

The comforting feeling I get with every episode... I can't even explain how beautiful it is. The soundtracks fits the drama/scenes so well. Though I know Kdramas had perfected this already, I still want to say it.

I'm drunk in my emotions. My heart just feels warm and cozy. This will be one of my comfort dramas. I will be rewatching this every know and then. And I know you'll do too!

Kudos to all the casts and staffs esp to the one who wrote this amazing drama. Can't wait for the movie!

A Plot Twist That Changes Everything, True Love Told in the Most Unexpected Way!

True love, a very beautiful story! The transition of the plot twist was nicely done, and although I had a feeling about it, I never expected it to unfold in that manner. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

P.S. It might seem a bit boring at first, but PLEASE STAY it's going to get better, I swear! 🥹✋🏻

Cute, lightweight story (*/ω\*)

I cringed a lot at first, but as time went by, I got addicted to her cuteness, and her expressions were so on point—HAHAHA.

It was also funny at some points. I'm glad I didn't have high expectations for this because I really enjoyed it a lot.

As an avid 'Japanese high school romance movie' fan, this film brought me back to the era of Kento/Tao/Emi high school romcom movies (/≧▽≦)/

Give it a try if you're in the mood for a cute Japanese high school romance movie! <3

To love means to sacrifice — but if you have the choice to fight for it, then fight for it.

True to its title, they really did fight for their love.

If you're looking for a romance-filled drama, I have to honestly say this is not it. But if you want a great historical drama with a strong storyline, then please do enjoy this show.

I liked all the characters, and their stories were fairly executed. Chang Ming and Chu Yu’s friendship was also so underrated — and her loveline was really good, especially if you enjoy a bit of angst. I’m also glad that everything that needed explanation was answered in this drama.

As for the OSTs (this is just my personal opinion), the soundtrack was one of the reasons the romance wasn’t represented well. I say this because I’ve loved many dramas mainly because the soundtracks helped convey the emotions the story wanted to express.

Overall, I really enjoyed it. And honestly, I’m glad I didn’t read the comments here before watching the show, so my view of it wasn’t affected.

When Writing, Acting, and Chemistry Align Perfectly

A FREAKING MASTERPIECE.

The storyline is so freaking good. I usually skip scenes in other dramas because they get predictable, but this one? I haven’t skipped a single scene.

And the first episode??? Literally perfect. The cinematography, the acting, the overall vibe — it pulls you in right away and sets the tone so well that you just know you’re about to watch something special.

What really got me is how every character is written so well. Villains or not, they all feel real. Even when they die or finally get what they deserve, I still ended up crying for them — that’s how good the writing and acting are.
(Except that one eunuch. I hate him. No tears for him.)

One tiny thing: I did think the main lead’s makeup could’ve been toned down a bit to fit the setting more, but Meng Ziyi is just insanely beautiful, so it honestly didn’t bother me much at all.

I’ve watched Li Yunrui’s other dramas before, but something about him in this one just hits different. Even when he was kind of cruel in the first few episodes, I couldn’t help but fall for him. And him with Meng Ziyi??? They’re just perfect together.

THEIR CHEMISTRY IS INSANE (づ>/////<)づ♡
They’ll literally just be looking at each other and I’m already hyperventilating, kicking my feet, and smiling so hard my cheeks hurt. I love them. I hope they just get married already.

The villains are also actually villaining, which I love. And I really appreciate that both leads are strong and trust each other — that kind of partnership is just so satisfying to watch. I love my parents so much.

I genuinely want this drama etched into my heart, my mind, my soul — everything.
This isn’t just a drama, it’s an experience.
