A Light BL with Missed Potential
Senpai, This Can’t Be Love had a cute premise and some undeniably sweet moments between the leads, but overall, it felt a bit lacking in depth. The chemistry was there at times, especially in the more playful or vulnerable scenes, but the pacing felt uneven. Some plot points were rushed, while others dragged a little too long.The characters were likable, but their development didn’t quite hit the emotional marks I was hoping for. The show had potential to explore deeper themes, but it stayed pretty surface-level, leaning heavily on BL tropes without pushing anything new.
Visually, the series was pleasant — nice cinematography and styling — but it needed a stronger emotional pull to really stand out. It’s a decent watch if you’re into light BL dramas, but it may not leave a lasting impact.
