I'm just stating what I came to know about wavve though kmedia and naver articles. And it's safe to say kmeadia knows more about wavve than you, right? It may seem like wavve is actually pretty new but it's basically a result of merging two vod platforms. I'm not sure but I read somewhere that Netflix us has aroun70 million subscribers but even if it's 60 million I believe it's a large percentage of 20-40 years people. Yeah Netflix has been around for much longer but for how long popular and anticipated series are being released though Netflix? On the other hand wavve is broadcasting TV dramas of big three networks right away from the beginning. So it makes sense

Kbs, mbc and sbs are three biggest free channels in Korea who each owns 23.8% of wavve. All the dramas aired on these three platforms. If you watch on free TV you've to bear advertisement break but if you watch on wavve you can watch at stretch. Now more and more people are leaning towards vod platform instead of TV it's something everyone can agree. While TV ratings are falling vod is rising. So I don't think it's unusual for people to pay. And when it says wavve has 15 million subscribers I can't say it has 1 , right?

Wavve has 15 million subscribers that is nearly one third of Korea's population. Let's say only 2 million is watching it that'll be total 32 million. At least do your homework right .

Do you know it's not been released to Netflix Europe yet? It'll be available on European Countries and some other countries on June 18 with all the episodes being released at once. And those Latin countries you mentioned other than tkem the only k drama I've seen ranking high there is Boys over flowers. So compared to others kdrama tkem certainly has more appeal worldwide.

You're missing out something simple. The deals were made with sbs and advertisers before they started airing. And it's only natural that the articles were published when the deals were made and not after a month.
Nope ,kes won't have any problem to find investors for her new drama. This drama is doing quite good in Korea. Let's say you're right for the sake of argument and this tanked in Korea still there is Netflix.
Now let's talk about the cast. Tomorrow Lee Min Ho will be the most followed Korean actor in instagram. He's already the most followed one in Weibo and facebook. After tkem started airing he's got 4.5 million followers on different social medias. His second highest ever . It's predicted he'll get around 10 million followers. Well it's already his second highest ever . He gained most during heirs,  20 million. Also he's always in the top 5, mostly in top 3 in the list of most buzzworthy actors. Boy even topped Weibo's social media influence chart, following two was bts and exo. What does it say? Girl this guy trends on never for instagram updates. Don't worry about him he'll come back with a big project, with top writer and director.

I never said ratings doesn't matter. Also I've never said tkem has low ratings. It's quite the opposite tkem has good ratings, not great. And if you say tkem has low ratings then all the mbc and kbs drama aired this year has something far worse than lowest ratings. This year isn't 2014 ,it's 2020. A lot has changed. More and more popular are leaning towards Wavve has 15 million subscribers, almost one third of south korea's population. At this point tv ratings even isn't the only things that matters. A reason why paid chchannels have relatively better viewership is because their dramas aren't in wavve.

Netflix India is among the top 3 Asian countries with most Netflix subscribers. The king eternal monarch is the first and  only kdrama to rank in top 10 in Netflix India. This has ranked as high as 4. Do you understand The king is also the first kdrama to chart in Bangladesh top 10 and the only. Here it's ranked as high as 2. Tkem is the first kdrama that has ranked at 1 in Netflix Nigeria. It's at 1 for weeks. And Mexico is a country which has one of biggest Netflix subscribers, there ttkem has ranked at 7 and 9 and yes there is a kdrama charting high than tkem in Mexico - Boys over flowers. Tkem is at top 10 in several Latin countries including El Salvador, Panama, Peru, Ecuador, Chile and more. And boys over flowers is charting high on some Latin counties too. Tkem is the only kdrama to be able to do so. I'm not talking about Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philipines, Hong Kong, Singapore on purpose kdramas usually rank high in those country. And tkem is at either 1 or 2 in those countries. What makes tkem unordinary is doing it countries where kdrama isn't a thing .

This drama isn't losing money for sbs. Sbs literally sold commercial slot at 30% higher price than its previous drama hyena. It's ok if you don't like the drama but please don't spread any false information.
