It happened to me not long ago as well tho it was an unfinished business as I haven't finished reading SAYE for the reason that the raw version is so broken that I don't understand their dialogues at all so I drop it I'm still stuck on chapter 111 there's 30ish chapters left if I'm not mistaken. If somehow you guys found this comment hopefully a good samaritan could help me with good trans for SAYE thanks a lot.

I've found a source on X. Season 2 is really around the corner as international ratings are high. There was even crowdfunding mentioned by the Director himself. Basically the next step is negotiating with platforms and copyright as well. So based on that there would be definitely a season 2.

Say, does anyone have an article to which Eric accepted the role? Or any source? I'm really curious since he's Chinese. And some says he's pretty popular in China. He does have a lot of appearances there.

as I've heard from others, there are some changes in the adaptation, since I only read the continuation of EP 10 so I don't know about that. I usually read the novel counterpart since pretty much I wanna know to how much extent their emotional expressions are being projected

It's like a hit or miss I guess. First things first. It's a hit for me. As I see the overflowing chemistry between them. Mind you I only saw them first on X. And I got invested. So I watch the series. If you don't seem to understand the subtle gazes and smiling in between their dialogue that's really on you and no one else. Mind you I read more intense danmeis but this slowburn between them is very appealing to me especially since it a live action it's hard to project that just by reading but they did a pretty good job portraying their characters and delivering the emotions necessary. I don't know what more to say. Maybe you just can't tell what their eyes and actions are conveying and it's not your fault. Maybe it's not for you? Who knows but only yourself

I like how they always insert their OSTs whenever possible. And since I watch it at 1.5x speed I bring it back to normal whenever an ost is playing.

I'm confused. As far as I'm aware it wasn't mentioned in the novel that he likes other guys (Sheng Wang) but he boldly replied to the girl when he was a senior in Beijing that he likes boys. Why boys? I'm just torn between idiomatic or literal meaning. Bc I was really hoping he would say he liked a guy or kissed a guy (JT ofc)

It's not that I don't want a season 2. But since adaptations tend to add adlibs which is fine but omitting the very sequences and events of the novel is a big no no. Absolutely adlibs are big yes, it's their budget after all. That's why perhaps some novel enthusiast doesn't recognize much of the adaptations.

It happened to me once, with Addicted by Timmy and Johnny. The greatest of all time version of Chai Jidans novel counterpart. I was really frustrated that time knowing that there will be no continuation and both actors are banned from appearing together. Luckily I found a way. By reading the novel counterpart, the thing is I'm still happy that I get to imagine Gu Hai as Johhny and Bai Lou Yin as Timmy while reading the novel. It made a big impact and satisfaction to me. Which is I'm mostly grateful about. Then I get to read one of the best masterpiece I've read in my life. It's what I'm doing now. As I cannot wait for the 2 EPs left I read the whole novel counterpart, actually I'm almost their as I'm on chapter 103 already. Its beautifully written idk how to describe more but it made me so happy and sad at the same time. It's beautiful. Perhaps because I'm so attached to Sheng Wang and Jiang Tian and their chemistry is overflowing. Thinking back, history repeats itself but this time I'm a bit ahead of time. But still same thing. I've realized I get to feel what I felt before. During reading Addicted. All in all. I thank their respective authors so much for giving us such beautiful masterpiece, this is pretty much subjective ofc. But I mean it. I'm such a loser in life but I'm really happy that I get to experience such things just by reading them. It made me feel life like this ,reading something and feeling what's written it's just made me feel this is life outside my life it's like I get to witness such emotions just by reading them and I just think it's beautiful. It really is.
