Agree here, there are many abstract things to see in this episode. When Hee Su open the curtain for SW, but for CY scene, he said he cannot open any light to face CY. I definitely know writer's intention. Hee Su's struggle, he will confess to let himself go out of CY's orbit.
When you consider that star things every episodes, this is very good writing of description. However there are still things that can be screened off. I think they can do it in just 6-8 episdoes in this serie. I think it is good standard of drama, but ppl get very high expectation, and straight couple stealing first half of serie is too much for majority's endurance.
Nowadays l see many BL's 1st-2nd episode will have some sex thing, this is to draw ppl to continue watch longer than narrative or simple slow pace. I like to watch characters' grown up. But majority in my counties (I can confirm about BL novel), the one that get easily popular will have more of bed activities or cut scenes and they trends to get adapted to real production with real hot scenes. Many writers had this drama in old era, but they cannot resist new generations now, result in they need to write it in.

I like Hee Su's internal struggle a lot, and it is quite abstract because he himself try to find some reasons to support his thinking all the time. That is really hard for ppl of this type. He may be 6th type of Enneagram which I totally understand this struggle.

CY finding girlfriend is the things push Hee Se to grow up, which is reasonable in real life for one-sided love who is best friend. The couple still steals too much airtime, I think. This end of 9th episode show the last result of Hee Su's thinking/struggle. From Hee Su's narrative about black hole. The confession will be done and he himself wil be able to get out of lock/black hole. Confession to move on his life. I like this episode a lot, but I don't think this thing be a cup of majority of people and this era. SW is so pity in the plot, but it is drama anyway.
Air time is used ineffective a lot, and progression of SW+HS is actually nothing. Director plays safe too much that there is no individual eating in this serie. Hee Su start to like SW because of his nature but SW nearly does nothing. SW just need to wait for the right time.

When JY and Chun's pair successful develop, then it will be our main pair. We know surrounding life because there is time for tennis, Heesu's family that will make Heesu's internal mind growth.
I do value characters talking to himself, like Heesu and SW which is absolutely make them main pair, (Jiyu's pair has not had something like this) but somehow Heesu screentime is too short even story need to develop JY pair.
