it gives a backstory on why lee bo gyum is so vengeful. i don't really remember too much due to the fact it kind of drags along, but id recommend maybe watching the EPs to get a better understanding and maybe skip the historical parts unless it'll confuse you.

agree ❗ Hidden Love was good but I just feel like this was slightly better.
it's not that it felt wrong, but the fact he knew her since she was in 8th (?) was a little disturbing. But besides that, I think they handled the aspect well due to Duan Jiaxu not feeling romantic feelings towards her until she was no longer a minor. The rushing is true, I felt like they did a quick turn from her being in HS to being in college. WIFTY was well produced and I enjoyed it more overall. Hidden love gave a better understanding of college life/love story, while When I Fly Towards You gave a better high school love story.

As we have reached the halfway point, I'm unsure how to feel about this series. I'm not going to drop it because I'm interested, but at the same time, what's going on. I mean, I know what's going on, but it's kind of a mess. For at least half the episodes that are out, Sprite and First barely had any screen time. I'm relieved that they are now finally getting time spent together, but I was STRESSIN with how little screen time they were having. I'll stay for the series for now (unless it goes too downhill..), hopefully it redeems itself. At the moment I'd give it a 7/10.
