1. Love how Hee do’s mom is such a sweet grandmother but forgot being “sweet” to her own daughter. 2. I…
I think it makes sense, the difference in treatment. She was young, had a career and it's her first time having a kid. Sure, you can say she had 17 years of experience, but it's still her first teenager. Whereas as a grandmother, she doesn't have all of the job and earning money stuff to deal with, she had lived that life. And now a teenager comes, and she knows exactly how to deal with it.
Plus, I once asked my dad why he spoil my nephew a lot, and both my aunt, mom and dad just gave me this really soft smile. They said "Grandchildren are just different."
It's a nice thing to see that being reflected on TV. You don't just suddenly become a super mom, it takes experience.
When I tell you I SOBBED during that coronation scene I am not exaggerating one bit. I'm so excited for the rest…
I think that guard is Ji Un's father. Since he seem to see the mark on Hwi's neck from the preview so he will probably realize soon that he was the one who killed the late crown prince.
Couldn’t they have at least put a moustache or beard on her to make me believe this whole world believes she’s…
She pretty much look like a regular pretty man. It's not really uncommon. When I first watch the first episode, I was surprised how much she looked like a pretty guy. After few more episodes knowing she's a girl, it's harder to see her as a man, but I don't think she needed to have masculine features to be a man. There are men with feminine features.
What did you feel was off? I'm currently watching it now, but I haven't gotten that far. What episode did you…
I was somewhere around 4th or 6th. The character setting for the female lead was interesting. The rest were alright, but despite building up a considerably interesting setting (family, relationship, personal character, intelligence etc) of the female lead, they drop all that and make her interaction with the male lead painfully normal. I wasn't expecting superb, but I was hoping they at least use the setting they have build up. Example: her wealth - her never doing anything in life - but smart - spoiled and naive - relatively good relationship with grandfather despite rebellious ^and yet when she was in financial difficulty, her thought went to a completely typical route -> work for the guy. If there's a good thought process behind it, then I'm more likely ok, but I just feel like the director/scriptwriter are not making use of character settings at all and it annoys.
I dropped this series for many things that I felt was off-character and it bothers me too much. Still, I would recommend it to those who don't care for that. I still find the series adorable and entertaining. Maybe if I watched it when I was much younger I wouldn't mind so much.
I couldn't watch it. I did not go through internet comments before I tried it, and I genuinely wanted to enjoy a new adaptation. One episode, and I'm out. It failed completely in my opinion. It's sad how they reduced the masterpiece to shonen-like meh boy and a psychological genre to gore. Geh.

My heart can't handle this.

I wouldn't say he's the best among the list (since I can spot two more that I respect) but I miss Hiro ~
