Just finished episode 6 and the best way to describe this series would be that it feels like it’s from the perspective of the semi-popular kids at school with all the messy drama that makes everyone else question why they’re even friends in the first place.
From what I can tell there really is no “protagonist”, at least not in a traditional sense, but there are definitely people you’ll wind up loving and wanting to raise hell for when they’re wronged (several times) by the others to the point where you want to physically slap some sense into them. These would include: - p’Earth: literally an angel sent by the lord himself that NONE of the other characters are worthy of except for p’Amm and p’Good”. He’s way too good for this world I— - p’Amm: the epitome of “secure the bag” and “those who can’t get it tf together are baggage not worth carrying”. her whole life sucked for a hot minute and I was 10x as pissed for her because the majority of it wasn’t her fault. But there are some lessons she still needs to learn. For example, I don’t know, maybe DONT live and make a joint bank account with your flakey, jobless, bumbass, man-child of a boyfriend who can barely afford the air he breathes??? I saw red when I found out the apartment was under his name. I can’t even drive and I know better than THAT. - p’Good: the most decent guy in this show second only to p’Earth. The poor guy did NOT sign up for Boyo and her clan’s drama and I honestly feel bad for him. It’s like he went to the store to buy a message chair and got a whole damn earthquake instead. Bless him, seriously.
However if we’re honest with ourselves, we know that 75% of ALL character’s problems would be solved if they made like Pangea and BROKE UP. permanently.
So Near the one that the bad boy likes is not the same boy the bad boy beat up? Is the one the bad boy beat up…
the abusive ex-boyfriend liked Jeno, the guy from the school, and the other dude M that worked at the cafe liked Near (who also worked at the cafe AND went to the school).

Not bad at all, I’m just irritated with Near’s willingness to forgive M, who in my eyes is a lying coward that deserves to be alone for a while for the sake of his own betterment.
I kindaaa also wish they made Jeno and Near siblings in the show too (bc they’re brothers irl), cause it was a little confusing that they look so much alike but the plot made them virtual strangers. It was hella trippy, lol
what the hell. no seriously, WHAT THE HELL?!! just about every character but Yuki, the cat, and that neighbor’s baby was off their nut??? whoever wrote the novel in the first place (if my assumption this is an adaptation and the plot is the same is correct) needs to retire immediately and seek psychiatric and psychological treatment. I literally mean immediately. The only reason I watched the whole thing in the first place was because I thought “there’s no way they’re just gonna let him get away with it right?” wrong. like ordering a corn dog and they bring you a live coconut crab wrong. 2012 may have been a long time ago but NO amount of time passed will ever make BLATANT R@P£ acceptable or romantic. And anyone who thinks it is okay needs to be committed with the same level of expedience right along with the writer. jeez.
so far ep 3-4 and ep 9-10(my fav atm) are the only episodes I’ve fully enjoyed watching because the couples actually have chemistry and don’t act like they just met, lol. but that’s kinda no one’s fault, not every pairing will be stellar. i have hopes for the upcoming episodes tho.
I’m gonna be honest, I haven’t even started the show, but I am concerned about the message this drama could be sending. I don’t know if this is the official trailer or not (we all not they switch stuff around sometimes) but in one of the versions a character literally says “so because you’re not a guy it’s not sexual harassment.” or something to that effect. Like I said, I’m gonna watch the drama for context and because it does look interesting at the end of the day, but I pray they clear that up AND the part about the whole stalker situation. It’s a low hurtle that entertainment companies have not excuse not to be clearing right now.
If I put her morals, or at least whatever I think they are to the side, I personally just don't think she's a great writer. At least not one who should have as much control over the plot lines as she does.
