That makes sense! I was so mad at Zhu Yun's mom though especially in the last few episodes. How could she just ask an orphan purposely about his parents? I hated how she still treated Zhu Yun as a child when she's an adult waking her up in the morning, telling her what to do and what not to do, and other things like being controlling.
I'm currently rewatching and i still don't get this

I know lixun was lying when he said all that in prison while meeting her but still I wonder when he met her the first time, did he purposely start getting close to Zhu Yun because he loved her AND because he knew who her mother was or did he only remember that after meeting her mother in the base?

Right, even if she got a character development I'd still hate her.
Lixun loves Zhu Yun so much and cares for her so much but he just doesn't show it often 😭
