I don't find suzy attractive or beautiful enough to tolerate her awful acting...she doesn't move her facial muscles on screen in order to look beautiful no doubt she will never improve in terms of acting as she care about her face looking beautiful on screen. personally I don't watch drama/movies to see some beautiful face with zero acting. I watch because of the plot and the actings. no doubt I have never watched suzy's drama because I cannot connect with her as an actor.
jisoo on the other hand amazed me as an actor. that girl has the capacity to lead a drama or movie on her own shoulders because she has a great screen presence. I have never seen or heard much about her alas! m a fan of her now. jisoo is very beautiful and charming unlike the actress you mention. she seems very down to earth ans care about the people around her. the script was written 12yrs back, the writer seems to really believed in its story and character so I don't think she would change anything for the sake of making the FL and ML shine above all... jisoo wasn't even consider for the role to begin with that girl have earned it by her hard work and dedication. I have recently watched their prescon and the director said that they were impressed by jisoo's acting and in fact forced her to do the role. I feel the side characters were never strong enough to overshadow the main lead as its their story n journey. I guess the director and production team are someone that every actors wants to works with hence even the famous actors went for the minor roles. because popular faces are doing the role of minor characters the viewers are expecting them to act like the lead.
I have no problem with having a main lead centric drama were the main lead couple are so loveable n my eyes are always looking for them. kinda tired of drama with boring main lead and random side couples who overshadow them which is so common in kdrama lately. thank God showdrop has changed that concept and we are focused only on the main lead and the story. they didn't insert random couple for some clouts.
