I have a headache, my eyes will probably be swollen when I wake if I go to sleep, and my heart hurts for them. I understand why Deok Im did not want to become his concubine and because of that my heart broke for them.
I have not cried this much since the ending of Youth of May and now my eyes hurt. My whole body hurts from being tense the whole episode.
In all honesty, I know nothing about Korean history but, I don’t think that the actors would have picked to act in the drama if it were something so serious as distortion history. The people acting in the drama (with the exception of Jisoo) have done well to build up their reputations. I know I should not try to give my opinion on the matter but I think we should wait until more episodes come out. Only two episodes have come out so far. And to be honest, I think the reason why they are not showing so much of the cruel torturing is because of the censorship guidelines. let’s say for instance this was on Netflix, of course, they would have shown more blood and everything else but this is on a tv network so I don’t think they would have done that. I took my time to read some of the comment threads and if someone wanted to learn about what happened during that time, they should not use a drama to learn about it. They should google it and I am sure there are many videos about it on YouTube like there is of everything else. They also put at the beginning of every drama in the first couple of seconds in every episode that the story is fiction. Now I am not arguing that the events should not be taken seriously because this is an important part of Korean hhistory. Please do not attack because I just wanted to post since I have no one else to have this discussion with.
