I have many mixed feelings right now. I enjoyed part of the drama but I can't think of a reason to take away the BL element (which would hit harder in the plot) other than homophobia. People used the excuse that it was weird for a grown man in the body of a student to be w other student (streets say in the og plot it was the og Yiheon and sekyung who had feelings for each other) but at the end they added that group blind dating comment which is the same but straight. Somehow, they managed to call it bromance while attracting bl fans with scenes that seems like CSK have feelings for YSH while Deuk pal was still there. Honestly it would make more sense and impact if the "true nature"/secret of Se kyung was that he was gay... like why he was all nervous for SYH revealing he wasn't genuinely friendly with other students.
Apart from that I felt so bad for Yiheon, all he got to live was bullying and loneliness so yeah who wouldn't be tired to live such a life, but at the end he won't get to experience his new life either :(. The gangster was a good example of grown-up for Sekyung and their friends, at the end he got the chance to live a better life but still him staying permanently in SYH's body feels so wrong to me. I guess SYH's depression was worse than expected, but plot-wise his character had almost no development.
I liked in some aspects the drama, the acting was soooo good and I'm looking forward for the next projects of the cast (especially Bongjae, I'm glad he got more recognition as an actor here). But to think we could have a better work with the same budget... It's okay to not be conformist and let the production team know it tho.
I get why people hyped this up in the first few episodes (although I personally didn't like it that much, but overall it was okay). Now its going downhill. Poor writing, too many fillers, it keeps getting draggy and going in circles; they even managed to waste characters that had potential. I no longer expect anything from the last episode, honestly.
I thought this show couldn't get any worse, but honestly the whole thing became a joke. The voting system ruined it all, many talented trainees keep dropping or even getting eliminated and the ones on top are there mostly because of their looks. At this point I'm glad if talented trainees don't debut here because they deserve much better.
Some global group 7 koreans one is korean Canadian and 2 chinese don't know how they can say its a global group…
same i was hoping for keita to be #9 but I'm not even surprised since it was the same with kep1er, the only thing that improved is that g trainees ranked higher and a chinese took the #1
keita worries me because even though he already debuted, his fellow ciipher member is in another survival show rn so is not looking good for their group :(
This is so heartbreaking because even though I didn't know his group very well, I always had the impression that he was such a bright and sweet person with everyone around him. I'll keep remembering him that way... May he rest in peace.
Right, I can see they had a vision with the whole fantasy concept, but it's really not executed well... The ID…
Totally agree. The IDs idea was great, but they failed to give it a proper execution and even the doors were failing sometimes. I hope they improve the editing in future episodes at least, the contestants deserve better.
