Well I don't agree with Asia's beauty standards and I don't have a beauty standard so my view on beauty is different. I'm more interesting in their acting skills.

Been watching her since her minor / support roles I always thought she made her characters stand out even if they were small roles they were memorable. I'm glad she is getting recognition and main roles now.

I usually judge a drama based on my enjoyment but also on how the drama is presented. I try not to let my emotions change my judgment or overall view on the drama. Although there are time where I just can't help it. I usually give every drama I watch a chance and I will sometimes ask people for recommendations. I watched kdrama come and hug me and I loved it on a personal / emotional level but I would give it a 7.5 / 8 overall as it was lacking in some areas. I tried to watch a Cdrama legend of chusen / noble aspirations 3 times because of the hype around it and because of how popular it is. Although I gave the drama multiple chances I just couldn't watch it for some reason. I've always found Asian dramas to be very fascinating. I usually watch a drama till the very end to get an overall POV on the drama but there are times where I just can't watch it anymore.

They are basically doing what they did in season 1 with Qu Tan'er. In season 1 it was 2 souls in one body. In season 2 we have The Mo Lian Cheng who was transported in the modern world then transported back to his home but he is in the past which is why there is another Mo Lian Cheng - which is his past self. It makes more sense if u have seen S1. Basically all the events that happened in season 1 have changed and they are retelling the story in season 2.
