Kim Hye Ja has dementia and all the events that happened in the 10 episodes were in her head. Her 'father' is her son. Just after the war ended she married Lee Joon Ha when she was 25 and then had her son. Lee Joon Ha was a reporter. He was framed for a crime he didn't commit and was beaten to death in prison. Her son got hit by a car and lost his right leg. She made a living by running a hair salon.

Beautiful realistic drama . This is one of those dramas that you'll have to watch all the episodes for the story line to make sense.

her character is suppose to be alot older. Also her characters mannerisms makes her seem older as well. She's always looked older in costume / historical setting compared to modern dramas.
