this drama was fun to watch but some things like transphobia and colorism made it hard to completely enjoy it....

has anyone seen if there's anywhere to watch this recently? I don't need subs so raw is fine

their relationship definitely had problems but it was nothing compared to like. kareshi wo loan de kaimashita or something so it didn't ruin my enjoyment of the show but ofc their relationship would be terrible if it was irl

I don't know why the comments for this are so bad like there are certainly issues but overall I thought it was funny and entertaining and I'm glad I watched it. It's definitely not one to go to for deep meaningful insight on life but I had a good time watching it. The end is not entirely believable but I found that it didn't really bother me. The characters didn't always behave in the most moral ways but this is a drama not real life so eh. I'm bisexual and imo they didn't deal with sexuality very well but it wasn't so bad that I stopped watching or anything so make of that what you will I guess

I kept watching expecting it to get better... but it just got worse and worse in my opinion. I can't even list all the problems with this show but they definitely include physical abuse, constant cheating without remorse, complete betrayal between friends that's just glossed over and constant pushing of bizarre and harmful gender roles. This perpetuates terrible stereotypes about both men and women and im just not even sure why it exists

yeah those are definitely some of the problems, there are a few things at near the end too which I won't get into so I don't spoil you but yeah I found most of the "couples" had a questionable thing or two happen

I did like this show and watched it all the way through but there were definitely some elements that made me uncomfortable. Although I guess most bl is targeted at straight girls and not the LGBT community this show kinda seemed to highlight that. As I said I did like it but there's some glaring problems that make me hesitant to recommend it.

I watched this a few years back with engl subs and I didn't particularly like the male lead at the time but I recently rewatched it with Japanese subs and found I liked both the male lead and the drama as a whole much more. This was probably partially due to nostalgia but I also think that whoever subbed this on netflix did so a little too literally and a lot was lost in translation. I'm not sure if there's better subs around but if you know enough Japanese to get by without them I definitely recommend watching it that way instead
