I watched for Jun but was captivated by the movie. I think a lot of Jun's fans enjoyed it even if he has less screentime since we know he only has a supporting role. Hopefully, they expand on the villain's back story for part 2.

A standout to me, as someone unfamiliar with Chinese cinema, was Tony Leung Ka Fai. He was so amazing. Such a great actor.

I'm rewatching because they released a version with Jun's voice for Ling Chao and I'm at Ep21. Xiao Tu's really such a sweet and thoughtful friend but I am so annoyed with Juanjuan. It's her decision to break up because of stupid reasons and she acts so forlorn after. It's just too immature. I found myself not looking at the screen when it came to their parts when I found it cute during my first watch until the part they stupidly broke up.

Also, I can't understand why Xiao Tu's dad was against Ling Chao as his daughter's SO when he's known his character so well as he kinda raised him too. But he was okay with Yin Zihan.. I really feel the story wasn't too clear in that there are parts that seem skipped but maybe that was because of the lower budget this drama had.

You have intense feelings about that storyline. But I have to agree. I think a reason the mom was amenable to the dad coming back into their lives was because they were in communication when he was gone. I think he still sent financial support.

But you can see how it affected his son so much. He is closed off and anxious about another parent leaving him. I think that part was also glossed over but yeah, maybe because it's supposed to be a light drama. I think someone mentioned here before how annoying it was that everyone was pushing LC to forgive the dad when they don't fully understand how hurt he was. In flashbacks, I think they showed he always waited on the stairs with XT for the dad to come back.

I liked them at the start but when Juan was being such an unreasonable gf and broke up with Siwen, I was so annoyed.

I'm not sure since it wasn't really stated in the story. I also don't know if circumcision is common practice in China like it is in some other countries.

No. It was dubbed during the time Seventeen were on tour. But there are parts where it's his voice like in the scene where Xiao Tu was trying to check if he wore the lucky underwear for the exam.

I bought VIP but didn't completely binge all the episodes. I think I watched 8 on the first day then paced myself for the next. Just finished 16 and I really want to start 17 now but I'm feeling I'll have a hard time stopping and there's work tomorrow.

it should be available for Iqiyi VIP standard though? Also, there's news it will also be released on Viki. I just don't know what regions.

Is Jun the only one dubbed by someone else? because it looks like he's the only one who's voice doesn't match the mouth movements.

I wish Iqiyi dropped like 8eps per week even for VIP because people are posting spoilers on social media. I mean, we got a lot of details from the trailer but more stuff have been shared.

I'm still on Ep4 but I think Zhang Miaoyi is such a cutie. The female classmate (Kai Xing) is so nice. I hope there's also a good story for her and Ling Chao's seatmate.
