his father abandoned him in the middle of the city when he was younger and his adoptive parents took him it when he was younger. he also learned that his parents had a biological child who passed away and kept it to himself (the reason they go to the countryside for a few days a year i'm pretty sure) but when he learned that he got the trauma of getting abandoned if he stood out too much and was a bad child that they would abandon him too. like at the meal scene with his mom in the last episode she said she knew all along that he knew that he was adopted and that they had a child before they adopted him.
