I liked it and this ending with both at present time remembering their past reminds me a bit of the ending of The Romance of Tiger and Rose.... But I confess: I expected FL to actually tell ML about her not being THIS ziqin but someone from the future (if she did it, I really don't remember)

He is really alive, thats why his mom dreamed about him coming back (special visitor + dinner set). His son has the power to go back to the past and touch/transport things and people.
I would guess that the kid only has to see/know what he needs to look for and then the kid goes to the object/person where it last was in the past (that's why ML comes back with the same clothes and dirty after the fire - It was 5 years later for his family in the present, but only a MINUTE for ML after he saved DDH in the past).
A short happy ending.

I think I've got the meaning 'cause I'm so used to CDramas real open endings, must be why this one felt so clear for me hahaha
