she's born deaf, a lot of deaf people don't use their voice. she won't get her hearing back & she probably won't learn how to talk with her voice, she will communicate in sign language :)

I accidently deleted my comment instead of editing a spelling mistake 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ but yeah 100% cheong ah's dad is also to blame partly. surely he must have figured out her personality before marrying her. idk if he has ever seen her abuse cheong ah but he must have suspicions of it & i wish he'd try and confirm his suspicions.

yeahh ik the daughter had atleast a bit of help thru the meds. ur right abt the reason they were prescribed tho, they're probs just for her performance rather than her mental health. i was talking about the mom though, it would be good if she had help aswell, if mom recieved help, the daughter would def be in a better position. but as someone mentioned above, mental health is still a taboo topic, so ig mom will continue living a miserable life :( daughter may end up happy because of her experience in 1995 tho, meeting eun gyeol, having fun without being judged, being liked by pretty much everyone + no cello stress.

me too, i wish he had payed more attention to cheong ah while she was growing up & made sure she grew up happy. now i think he's realising he could have put in that effort & it's not that hard to make her feel loved :((

not denying that se kyeong lead a hard life too, her mom was toxic & her relationship failed but in 2023 it's very normal to get therapy (idk if it is in korea tho, maybe that's why she never tried?) & she looks like she can afford it, idk why she doesn't get emotional help instead of passing down that trauma to her daughter. (i don't mean this in a judgemental way to her bc idk how socially acceptable it is in korea to recieve that kind of help) i hope that once eun yu returns to the future her mom is more understanding & supportive.

ur rightt, all the main leads suffered in one way or another, but in my opinion cheong ah (1995) & eun gyeol (2023) were the loneliest, they don't really have anyone they can share their struggles with.

in the earlier episodes, lots of people were commenting on here that they found him annoying cus he keeps chasing se kyeong 😭blew my mind cus he's just a teenager, people were expecting him to start liking cheong ah overnight or smth, it's obviously gonna take timeee.😭😭

yepp, and he's always under a constant pressure to make things easier for his grandma. this is one of the reasons why it confuses me that people call him annoying, let this boy be happyyyyyy
