Hey Michelle. IDK how long you have been into Chinese entertainment, but let me tell you ZLY is a legend. She is a pioneer in the industry and while Yang Zi is massive, ZLY probably has better public recognition. They are both apart in age so their relevancy cannot be compared - but wanted to correct you on ZLY. You might want to research her older works and how she has sustained popularity even after marriage and being older than the current leading generation.

Also to add: Yang Zi is my favourite actress and ZLY is just someone I acknowledge and respect. PEACE.

I have read it but from the trailer it seems they have changed some things. The novel is nice though. Give it a go.

I agree. That's why I rated this drama so high. This level of chemistry and skinship is almost none in Chinese or even in Korean dramas. The kisses are SO MANY and on fire.

Let's hope XZ's popularity goes to new heights. He has lost a few endorsement deals and his follower count on Weibo hasn't kept up that steadily as was the case last year. He has kind of plateaued, which is okay - but another drama / more public appearances will help him get further.

Agreed. I'm not saying XZ is irrelevant but Yibo hasn't had any scandals and keeps up with his variety show appearances. He trends on Weibo every single day which sadly hasn't been the case with XZ since the scandals. It was a given that Yibo's popularity would increase. XZ has been sparingly seen in public eye and had no big activities for this year. Fear not because Oath of Love WILL do well because XZ fanbase + popularity of Yang Zi is a pretty good combination imo. Yang Zi is still massive and relevant in China even if not the same as Zhanilia (Yibo's co-star).

I agree. The difference in followers between him and Yibo has got too wide. Now Yibo's new drama will air which is a sureshot hit and he will become even more massive.

Glad I gave this a shot. Xu Kai is hands down my 2nd favourite Chinese actor now lol. I'd love to see him in a modern romance drama.

Idk why but Bai Lu fell a bit flat in this one. She was much better in Legends and didn't feel the same chemistry with Xu Kai.

But you gotta give him a chance for his acting since you bothered to check him out. He's more talented than most C-actors/idols I've come across.

I doubt that. Most likely we will see it getting pushed further. Everyone believes 2021 to be most probable.

Killer cast. They cannot go wrong with this. Will add it in my PTW list. :D
