News SeaKeen deserved more!
Weirdo-101 was the classic GMM high school drama that I thought it would be. Honestly, it felt like a step back for SeaKeen, considering their last show was a quite creative college drama. While this show was still quite enjoyable, I do feel like it would have been better for a new unknown pairing to give Sea and Keen something with a little more substance.
Niran (Keen) is the top judo athlete at the school. However, as he debates giving up judo for good, the rising conflict between him and his father causes him to spend more time away from judo and his home. He ends up meeting Cheewa (Sea), an astronomy club nerd. While Cheewa may be a bit strange and nerdy, Niran can't help but fall for him.
The characters in this show were quite cute and I enjoyed their romance. I especially liked the aspect of the show that entailed Niran's inner struggle with judo, and how it affected his relationship with his father. Unfortunately, this was overall a bit of an underwhelming show that would have benefitted from a bit more substance. Sea and Keen did a great job as these characters, but I was hoping that since Head2Head was set in college that they had moved out of high school roles. If you're a big fan of SeaKeen, this one is worth watching; however, there are definitely better high school romance dramas out there.
