I took BJH's question more as manipulation than truth. Like, he was legitimately curious if he used that excuse if she would come back. Yeah he was depressed and had writer's block so he was sick. A huge portion of the population has depression at one point or another, and I'd guess that every writer feels writer's block to some degree at some point. Not a reason to leave abruptly and silently.

Maybe that excuse would KIND OF (not really) work if he had some type of issue and needed to go abroad to see a specific specialist or something

I don't understand the hatred his mom has for her. She has no idea who she is it seems, yet she was able to recognize her sitting at a bus stop 10 years later?!? It makes no sense both in the HS years and in the present that she acts this way towards Hong Ju. It looks like they moved to the US in the first place because of Hong Ju, when there wasn't even a chance in hell that they would have dated back then

The only 2 things I can think of is 1) she is just delusional on thinking she has to control every single aspect of her sons life or 2) she knows (somehow) that Hong Ju is an orphan and is having an issue with it. Both are BS reasons, but seeing how the culture sees orphans, at least according to KDramas, that one would at least make some sense. Not right, just understandable

For real. Being socially awkward is one thing, but if the girl you have a crush on flat out tells you she knows you like her and she likes you as well, no amount of awkwardness would make me shut her down in such a rude and disrespectful way. And he did it twice! The one in front of his mom was ridiculous. Even though she was already basically adding grandchildren to the family tree, Hye-Ji was being nice about it. You could easily call your mom later and say we are not dating instead of humiliating her

2nd couples are usually done pretty well, probably because we see less of it so it's more like a highlight reel. There are a few exceptions to that though, even recently. Miss Night and Day's was badly done and Queen of Divorce's was just flat out bad, but that whole show turned out bad so.

She dumped him in MLL because he lied. She didn't know about the med issue until the present timeline, but their time apart started with her ending it. Also, him thinking it's terminal and not wanting her to go through that is still a bad reason, but a much better reason than this 2ML. Writers block is no reason to not just ghost but actively ignore and avoid someone you "love" as we saw in the airport scene when she was chasing him and yelling for him

Man her boss is trash. She has been begging since the very start to not be on this project, yet now she is forcing her to go to his place to work? Forcing her to work all day with him instead of just a couple meetings a week is horrible. Even her ex's manager realizes that her working with him is a horrible idea, but she is so deadset on it. There isn't even an upside for anyone

One thing about Ko Won is why wasn't there any scenes with Ga-Young and Ko Won? Or even scenes of Mi-Jin and Ga-Young talking about Ko Won?

It showed those 2 are basically sisters. Complete ride or die friends. But at no point, at least that I remember, they even talked about Mi-Jin befriending him. If my best friend was a super fan of someone I know, I would at least ask the idol if he could meet my friend to make her year

I think the 2nd couple would be better if they put more time into it. They had the her blind thinking he was Ko Won then nothing until all of a sudden they were together. It felt too forced imo. Their whole flirting phase was just one scene of her finding out he isn't married and then they are together immediately.

I'm just chalking it up to the writer doesn't know how to do romance because even the mains was meh at best. It really felt like the writer got to EP 15 and was like oh wait, I need the 2nd couple trope, I'll shove these 2 together real quick

I love Mi-Jin's dad so much. He does anything and everything for his little girl. On top of all the big things like keeping the secret that she didn't get the job from her mom, he's always doing little things for her and I guarantee most go unnoticed. Like how he shined her shoes every day and she wouldn't even know if she didn't catch him doing that, you know there is so much more he is doing to make her life easier and better without wanting any recognition for his efforts. Easily top 3 KDrama dads for me, possibly even #1

The killer was an in-home drug administrator/nurse type thing. She gave the Drs wife a shot that made her sleep, then started robbing her jewelry. Drs wife woke up and saw it so she killed the witness. After that it was just a chain of witnesses because she is so incompetent at killing

Ji Ung had a rough day lol. All-star assistant quits, gf gets kidnapped, witness the transformation, find your mother's body all in the span of a day or so.

It kinda annoyed me that they made it obvious he saw the transformation then just completely ignored the reveal for like 45 minutes. Also the 2nd couple. I don't hate that pairing but feel like they started it too late or something. It makes it feel too forced imo

I think this is a first for me. I like the show and could see myself rewatching it in a year or so, but at the same time I'm happy tomorrows the finale

I could see the stabbing coming episodes ago. But it didn't go the way I thought it would. I was figuring they were going to use that to wrap up all the bad guys story lines. Kitty stabs and kills JH dad, 2ML puts him in prison for it. That was my expectation, and I'm honestly not sure whether I like that or the way they went with it more. Him taking the hit is very JH and although it didn't show it, we know the cops will be there probably within the next 2 minutes. Luckily, 2ML didn't wait the 30 minutes like JH asked.

I did think it was stupid of JH to go in there, especially alone. It's known to basically everyone that liquor place is just a front, yet the parking lot was full. If his game plan was to steal the books and get arrested with them, why wouldn't he go when it's empty?
