I agree with you, SS deserves her punishments bcs of her behaviour especially the scene you mentioned but it doesn't stop me to not really like her mom too. It's because I've weak heart 😂 (note: what I mean I don't really like her is bcs she never hug her daughter 😭✌️) character wise I like everyone here cause this drama shown diversity of human characters and tell us that no one is perfect. mostly they all morally gray 👀

Imo one of the reason is the effect of the chinese ent. environment itself. you can easily see upcoming korean drama cause the production team share the titles and schedule in advance (how kdrama that airs on tv works: two/three months before, they shared an info that A drama will air after B drama ends and one month before airing they confirmed the date already)
while chinese ent don't have obvious schedule for the airing date even for the dramas that will air on their national tv channel. the airing date announcement always start with rumor and the rumor might be true or in the end they will keep the drama in draft 😂 that's why here in mdl you can't see upcoming good cdramas even If they'll air one month later cause nothing is confirmed. mostly chinese dramas announced airing date officially one week before or even one day before lol
