Since this film has no comments, I'll write the same thing I wrote on my letterboxd:
"A Girl who Looks Like the Sun" is an interesting crime drama that focused on young woman who tries to take entrance exams at university but lost all her money and then got herself into relationship with the murderer. There were some interesting shots inspired with western new waves and I didn't expect that from Lee Man-hee (but that's maybe because I don't really know his works yet). I loved that Shin Joong-hyun's "Beautiful Woman" was playing over and over when the camera was focused on this guitar dude and teenagers who were swimming in the sea and partying in the club. Peak teenage cinema of the 70s.
the ending was that there was no ending and I dumbly waited for a week for new episodes only to realize that there would be no more... i really enjoyed this drama, but it wasn't anything particularly good, I just loved the characters, despite their bad or sometimes stupid and irrational behavior... but seriously? that's the way they decided to end it? fml
