SPOILERRRRR: hi, okay will there be a season 2 based on the special episode? I feel like it might based on Xie Hu'ain accepting that task from Cen Pickles. Is that why they cut down to 28 episodes - instead of 32?
Just writing down my thoughts and opinion down. I don't know how I feel about the last few episodes to be honest. It felt a little bit too fast and very messy towards the end for me where sober fuigui was getting all the 4 items to defeat black fox himself (including him killing qingtong for tree seed).
I don't particularly mind if there is no/little romance in series but the chemistry between them was off & forced. idk how to explain this but in the beginning of the series their bond was so good and i really enjoyed their happy moments they had with lantern festival. Qing tong was the light to fui gui's heart but then then comes with the majority of the series was them being separated, qing tong is grieving for her creepy brother (which btw why was the arc was so long and painful to watch) and very little communication between each other after their "reunion". When fui gui killed qingtong for the tree seed, it was shocking but I didn't really feel that sad. Even if fui gui didn't kill her, they would somehow become unhappy/miserable in their relationship as both of them are distant to each other in the recent episodes. I would have felt they are better off as two heroes (mentor - student relationship) than love couples (It's just my personal opinion tbh).
The scene with "possessed" rumu and cheng yi was slightly unecessary - i don't really know what impact it had tbh and it's not even a genuine final talk between them. I wish rumu was properly done justice in his final scene and have a proper closure between them two.
The scene with long weiyun at rumu's burial was honestly so heartbreaking. I really wished that they had happy ending together and also didn't feel there was any justice to quan jingting at all. Killing him felt too light for a punishment .
I am happy that there is one couple still alive at least Fan Yun Fei and Li Xue Yang. I do miss the silly moments they had with fuigui (despite fui gui was not very much shown), rumu and weiyun. The side couples scenes has kept me going with the epsiodes during qingcheng arc and myriad formation.
Please I hope they release all the episodes tomorrow. They haven't announced it yet. It will be painfully slow to wait for one episode a day including that break in between. :(
