I was really into this drama; it was amazing. Cinematography was good, I love the little details they've placed in certain scenes like the restaurant scene after their divorce. The osts were the best like this is the first drama where I enjoyed listening to all the songs especially Last Chance and Love You With All My Heart. I am struggling to listen to Kim Soo Hyun's ost because it reminds me of the ending which I see as bittersweet. Same with the song used in the intro and the ending credits, I find it really sad now the show has ended. I feel so empty now and I can't stop thinking abt it.
I loved the chemistry between the leads the most. I must say the chemistry wasn't as strong as it was in the first 14 eps because imo after the surgery, Haein completely changed (I know because she lost her memories and basically her identity in a way). I love Hong Haein, she's now one of my fav fl but again I do miss her pre-surgery self. The way she describes Hyunwoo in her diary...omg to be loved by Hong Haein. Despite their distant relationship, she loves Hyunwoo so much. "I love you. I've loved you from the moment we met until now." . She always wait for Hyunwoo no matter what. My favourite scene of her is definitely that press conference scene where everyone thought that she would go with eunsung but NO she protected her husband there and revealed that she has been ill to everyone when she wanted it to be a secret. Although she has the cold and strong character, she really cares deep inside but doesn't really know how to show it. I feel bad for Hyunwoo the most. He has suffered in many ways throughout the whole drama. It was wrong of him to feel "happy" that his wife was dying but I believe he wasn't happy because of that. He has been mentally and emotionally abused for years and was not in the right mind. What he went through was insane. I am glad he stayed and realised that he still loves Haein. Now why I feel bad for him, it's because after the surgery like I said Haein is completely different. She doesn't remember what had happened before (I mean slowly ig), so technically he's with a different person to the one who he was with. He still loves her despite that but idk I just find that so sad.
I am not satisfied with the ending. I wished they showed what happened with their marriage and their daughter instead. That would have been so beautiful after all they have suffered throughout the whole show. If the writer wanted to show smth in the future, why couldn't she show what happened 10 years after their marriage (in reference to the first ep's epilogue). I wanted more baekhong scenes, like I am deprived of them. They have wasted such strong chemistry for the couple's screen time to be so short.
My favourite part of each ep is definitely the epilogues. Up to ep 14, they were the most beautiful parts of the ep especially ep 1,6, 10,13 and 14. How I wish they showed the reaction of Haein to ep13's epilogue.
Big thanks to Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won for their wonderful portrayals of Baek Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In. I think I would have dropped this drama if it wasn't for their skilled acting. They have done exceptionally well especially in ep 14 - the scene at the church and where hyunwoo thought haein died was just incredible. I know it's impossible but I hope Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won pair up again in future. Their chemistry was so strong.
I know it's a kdrama thing where the two are destined to be lovers but I think it's beautiful. It was Baek Hyun Woo who saved her from drowning. Then they met as teenagers and he fell in love with her at first sight. They met again as adults and married each other without knowing they were each other's first love. It so cute. I really want Hae In to tell Hyun Woo that the MP3 player is hers already and the bus guy she mentioned was him. I just hope no one dies and we see Baek Soo Bin 🤭
In my opinion, I really don't think ml is happy with fl dying. It's more that it is the best way of escaping this marriage. Yes, he wanted to divorce her and is now using this 3 months for this but I believe it's because he suffered in that 3 years. Not because he hates her or anything. He thinks he hates her but his actions in ep2 contradicts this. Like the scene at the dinner table where he went against his mother in law and took her side. I don't think he was just being nice to her for the 3 months. He directly defended his wife which doesn't happen usually. During the three years, their relationship have gotten distant and fl is not the type to express her feelings. As of now, he believes that he is really unhappy with this marriage and having to deal with everyone in her family. I really want to know more about the fl. She is seen cold around her husband and defends him when he is not there. They are both broken as individuals but I think they are really good as a couple and just need to really communicate with each other. Like they may be cold but when you see that scene where he comes home drunk in ep1 after their argument they both hesitated to open the door. They definitely are in love and are yearning for each other. If he really hated her, he could have just left her killed and would escape this marriage more easily. In the preview, it also shows how he investigates how that animal got to her when it's not supposed to ( I think but am not really sure). He doesn't want her dead. I really can't wait when they really talk to each other and not just say things that end up hurting each other.
