I think she thinks she’s dying at that point that’s why she said those things. In the very beginning, that’s what she really wanted, a normal life. If she wasn’t caught in all of those situation, that normal life is her ultimate goal.

The director handpicked Park Boyoung for this role. he wanted someone who looked far from being tough, greedy, or power-hungry, someone who looked kind and lived an ordinary life. When he cast Boyoung, he even said half of what he envisioned for the project was already complete. So no, she wasn’t miscast. Casting Park Boyoung for this role was completely intentional.
