do I need to watch the Legend of the Heroes before I watch this or can it be stand alone?

as most have said very promising start, albeit a disappointing conclusion in how they ended the drama. but have to say I love the OST for this drama, so good

there are definitely a lot more out there but there are also still the FL falls first ones too. As long as the plot and the acting is good I like both.

also I must say it's refreshing to see the ML fall first and fall hard, love at first sight from the ML is one of my faves

Really enjoyed ep 18, I'm glad they've finally entered dating era and she's really gotten over the scars of her past thanks to timely intervention by Dr He at all the right moments ahhaha

honestly given how Yang Xian grew up it's not surprising he ended up the way he is, however I think he's really touched by Madam Li and is learning what real familial love is like. The hazing of the sons-in-law Alliance was top notch, even Shen joined in which made it even funnier XD

Leshan and Xian are actually a pretty good match, they just need to learn to accept each other and mature together as a couple. I was surprised to see the character of the Consort, she was a lot nicer than I was expecting, and she clearly loves her little brother a lot, so I hope they get a chance to reconcile. Even though she's got a year to reform him, I'm 100% by the time that the year is up, they would already be madly in love and unwilling to part and I'm all here for that!

Cannot wait for the rest of the episodes to release tomorrow. Definitely going to be a binge-worthy night :D

and if you look at episode 28 you can see that one of Yang Xian's sisters looks really familiar, she's Consort Li from The Double, plus i assume that most people have already probably guessed this but Shouhua is literally Jiang Li's younger sister in the Double too, so maybe cross over characters

ahaha I really enjoyed the ending of 28, Yang Xian really doesn't know what he got himself into, can't wait for him to become a wife simp like the other 4 sons-in-law

they are so chaotic together, but I think after this initial phase they might actually bring out the best in each other, as they both have the most obvious flaws out of all the pairings, plus their temperaments are quite hot headed, so I can see chaos in their future XD

we love that he's alive in this world at least, idk what the scriptwriters were thinking at the end but man I was so disappointed with how it all went down

this makes me want to watch Perfect Match set in modern times in the socialite world with the same cast. Let's make this an AU ahahaa

they also never found his body and Kangning says that she still feels that he is alive somewhere which is that twin sense tingling. So he might still be alive, but no idea why he's been gone so long, how much he remembers and how he is living and with whom. He's definitely not with the Li family's paternal relatives, but I wonder where he would be exactly.

yes The Double was a great drama, although the ending was not quite how I hoped, still I love seeing the characters from there in Perfect Match leading completely different lives with different relationships ahaha

the ending of Snowfall was so annoying, like why did they end it that way, and why did the scenery have to be so damn pretty?! I felt so bad for Mi Lan and Weilian :'(

oh right another thing I forgot to mention in my earlier comment, relating back to the actual story, it seem the Shen's teacher wants to destroy his reputation and make him feel like he's got nothing left, is it cause Shen sentenced his son to prison/execution (can't remember the exact judgement) but like dude, if you were so pressed about it you should've taken the fall for your son yourself, but nope the Emperor praised you for being righteous and all that, you pretend to be a humble official seeking no praise or reward for your actions, but your actual actions really don't seem that way.

I really want to see him get exposed, plus the new hot official is one of his men, and wanted him to kill Shen and make it look like an accident, it also seems that those bandits were a bit too informed about Shen's family's whereabouts, so someone obviously tipped them off, I really really want to see justice get served to that faker. Yet Shen saved the official's life so maybe he won't be the pawn the master dude thinks he is.

Ah I need the next episodes now, so much to look forward to!!

nicely said, the only reason I've got this as a 9.5 is because I haven't seen enough Winwin scenes ahahaa

But in all seriousness it's definitely not the usual romance drama, but I am really enjoying it, as it really does depict the harsh reality of life, marriage, social class, prestige etc that is often sugarcoated, or skimmed over in other dramas set in similar times, so I really do appreciate this.

I also think a person's own life experiences will resonate with what they watch and some viewers might be too young, or they haven't really seen such a reality which is why they downvote and criticise the drama. It's also not an easy subject matter to digest too.

However I for one am thoroughly enjoying this drama, and I love each of the respective story lines too :)

okay eps 25 and 26 really got me feeling a rollercoaster of emotions, after Shen got hit in the head and started acting cold again since recovering his memories, I wanted to go in there and deck him myself :P

When Haode said at the end that she will only give him half her life, and they will remain a respectful distance but not intimate I was like damn, this boy is in for it ahaha

He better step up his game again, the Li family daughters are not easy to deal with, but as we've seen from the older three's marriages, sooner of later the husband can't even dream of disobeying ahaha and become totally whipped for their wives. I really want to see Huaizho really break all his walls

I'm also excited to see how Leshan and Yang Xian's story unfolds, it seems she agreed to be his maid or something in exchange for him saving her sister and her sister's in-laws, but I saw the way he looked at her change from their first interaction to afterwards, he's definitely re-evaluating her worth and I know that marriage is coming but I wonder who makes the first move? Also remember that the one who actually kicked him and got him mobbed was Leshan, but Kangning took the blame to protect her, so if he finds out I'm ready to see his reaction. Knowing Winwin, I'm sure he is going to pull off this role spectacularly, going from a callous, arrogant, prideful rich boy to someone who loves, worries about and cares for his wife. I've seen the trailer when he's begging Madam Li to save him on his wedding night, so I'm sure that regardless of how it starts, Leshan is going to have the upper hand sooner rather than later, especially with that mouth of hers XD

not a wuxia but if you haven't seen Snowfall i highly recommend it, his acting is insane in that one and he pulled off his role so well. Winwin has always wanted to be an actor, so I'm so glad he's finally getting the chance to put himself out there and try different roles. So looking forward to his next dramas. I hope they get released soon!!
